Setting Up Okta For Secure Account Access On Simplebooklet.
A complete guide.
Prerequisites
You must have Admin access to your Okta organization account.
Supported Features
Service Provider (SP)-Initiated Authentication (SSO) Flow
This authentication flow occurs when the user attempts to log in to the application from
Simplebooklet.
Identity Provider (IDP)-Initiated Authentication (SSO) Flow
This authentication flow occurs when the user attempts to log in to Simplebooklet from Okta.
User Federation, role management, etc. are not supported.
Users and their
Simplebooklet roles will be managed from the Simplebooklet administrator team accounts settings.
Okta Administration Configuration
Configuration is done in the Okta Admin Console.
Step 1
In Okta, go to Applications → Browse App Catalog, search for then add Simplebooklet.
Step 2
Assign the users or groups that will only be able to log into Simplebooklet using the Okta SSO button.
Step 3
Go to the Simplebooklet App → Sign On tab and note of the Client ID and Client Secret.
Step 4
Contact support@simplebooklet.com with the following information:
- Client ID
- Client Secret
- Okta Issuer URL (Can be found by clicking the OpenID Provider Metadata link on the Sign On tab from Step 3)
User Login Via Okta SSO Button
Once Simplebooklet has been assigned to the user, they can use the Okta SSO button to access their account.

Tap the Okta SSO button to log in.
Notes
Restricted Access
Once enabled, users can only log into their Simplebooklet account via the Okta SSO button. Existing login methods will no longer work.
