Please read and understand these rules carefully:
As this is an official Malaysian sporting event, in the spirit of
sportsmanship, we expect all invited societies’ teams to meet
certain requirements:
The majority of players are MALAYSIAN (e.g. 5 Malaysians + 4
Non-Malaysians).
1.
The majority of the players are REGISTERED STUDENTS under
the university’s Malaysian society (e.g. 5 MSoc-registered
students + 4 non-MSoc-registered students).
2.
Teams that do not meet the requirements (1.1) and (1.2) will be
registered as an independent team and are liable to an extra
charge of £30 per team.
Each player is only allowed to play only ONE event even if the
events are within the same sport category. For instance, you can
only participate in either Badminton Men’s Single or Badminton
Men’s Double, but not both.
All contingents are required to provide a referee/umpire, and
linesman according to their respective games. The chosen player
acting as referee/umpire/linesman will be put into a match
according to the timetable. More info regarding the referee’s
timetable is on the info pack.
Any unsportsmanlike conduct and violent acts against other
participants that are beyond the sport’s generally accepted
standards will NOT be tolerated. Acts such as -but not limited to-
abuse against officials, violations of the sport’s rules, and physical
and verbal abuse will result in the disqualification of the team.
All players MUST check in at least 10 minutes before the match
starts. Failure to do so may result in a penalty or disqualification.
