All will be done to ensure that the event will
go ahead as planned. Mitigations are in place
for inclement weather and requirements for

This workshop is limited to 8 participants,
and places will be decided by ballot on the
Friday evening for the session to take place on
Saturday between 4pm and 5.30pm. For those
who are not drawn in the ballot there will be an
opportunity to join the Social Dreaming Matrix
or Sand Art Mandala making workshops, which
are not limited in numbers.
There is also the option of booking a private
one-to-one Sound Healing session across the
weekend with Teresa at an additional cost of 40
(discounted conference rate) per individual
session. Please follow this link to her website to
arrange a booking directly at
www.teresawicksteed.co.uk/sound-healing
Distant Sound Healing is also available at the
discounted rate for those wishing to buy CPD
packages of conference recordings. Just mention
‘Jung by the Sea’ to Teresa when booking.
HOW DO I BOOK FOR SOUND HEALING WITH TERESA WICKSTEED?
Alongside your usual luggage, and yourself,
some points to remember are outlined below.
Ticket
Please remember to bring your Eventbrite
Ticket for the Event as a printout and/or in the
Eventbrite app.
Money (Cash)
All conference food and drinks are included in
the ticket price, but you may wish to purchase
books from the specialist psychotherapy
bookseller who will be setting up a mobile shop
at the Fort. Card sales will be accepted but can
be slow, and you might want to consider bringing
cash for this. Taxis are also likely to require cash
payment. There are no banks local to the Fort,
so you are advised to bring money with you.
Outdoor Gear for Different Conditions
While it is hoped that the weather will be kind
to us, a significant amount of the conference
will take place outside, so you are advised to
bring sunscreen/sun-hats for hot conditions
and warm layers for colder weather and wear
in the evenings as the food and entertainment
will all be alfresco/under canvas but open to
the elements. The Fort is accessed by steps, and
the gardens and path down to the beach can be
uneven, requiring suitable footwear depending
on the weather conditions.
Other things to remember
Don’t forget your accommodation details.
It’s a good idea to charge-up your electronic
devices before you arrive (and remember
your charger!)
Pen/notebook
WHAT SHOULD I REMEMBER TO BRING?
It is not possible to predict the path and
requirements of the pandemic. However, the
situation will be monitored and all reasonable
policies for the prevention of the spread of
Covid will be employed.
Much of the event will take place outdoors. The
presentations where 110 people will be gathered
together will take place in a marquee on the
bottom lawn of the fort gardens and will be well
ventilated by a sea breeze!
If you have particular requirements or queries,
please get in touch.
WHAT PANDEMIC MITIGATIONS WILL BE IN PLACE?
PLANNING YOUR TRIP
By train, the nearest station is St Germans (a
branch line between Plymouth and Liskeard
mainline stations), requiring a 10 minute taxi
transfer to the fort.
From Plymouth Station (an average of 3 hours 45
mins by direct train from London Paddington) it
is possible to travel by ferry or road to Polhawn
Fort.
The Torpoint Ferry operates three chain ferries,
providing a service 24 hrs a day, 365 days a year
and offers a 10 minute frequency at peak times.
From Torpoint, a taxi is required to reach the
Fort (10 minutes).
By road from Plymouth Station the journey
is approx 50 minutes and from Liskeard train
station approx 20 minutes.
There is a bus from Plymouth to Rame Head too,
taking around 40 minutes (via the ferry).
HOW DO I GET TO GET TO POLHAWN FORT?
We are unable to provide accommodation for
conference delegates at Polhawn Fort.
However, there is a wide variety of options
locally to suit a range of tastes and budgets,
including self-catering cottages, Airbnb,
Boutique B&Bs, local village pubs with rooms
and camp sites.
More information can be found at Visit Rame:
https://www.visitrame.org.uk/places-to-stay.
Visit Cornwall (https://www.visitcornwall.com)
provides a wide range of information for those
travelling to and around the ares.
IMPORTANT NOTICE: The conference
falls at the beginning of the Spring Half Term
school holiday in 2023, and accommodation
is likely to be booked up to a year ahead. It
is strongly recommended that you book
accommodation as soon as you book your
conference ticket to be sure of availability.
WHERE CAN I FIND ACCOMODATION?
Yes. A printable Certificate of Attendance
(PDF) will be forwarded by email to all registered
delegates (who attended) following the event.
CAN I GET A CERTIFICATE OF ATTENDANCE?
THE EVENT
Delegates will receive an electronic (PDF) copy
of the schedule and information about the
conference by email. This will be sent to the
email address used when purchasing your ticket.
You will receive a conference badge at
registration. Please use your badge over the
weekend event, as this helps to facilitate
activities (reception, workshops, and events)
and support.
WHAT CONFERENCE MATERIALS CAN I EXPECT TO RECEIVE?
The catering for this event will be professionally
commissioned from local chefs/producers and
includes a range of local meat, fish, vegetarian
and vegan options.
If you have food allergies, require gluten-free
options, or have any other special requirements,
please let us know as early as possible to ensure
you receive meals that cater to your needs.
Please note that options to swap choices will
not be available on the day. So if you opt for
vegetarian, vegan or gluten free this will be
consistent across all meals provided.
If you have any queries, please get in touch
as soon as possible.
CAN YOU CATER FOR MY SPECIAL DIETARY REQUIREMENTS?
THE VENUE
Private off-road parking at the Fort is provided
for up to 50 cars, with an adjacent overspill car
park in a field nearby.
WHAT ARE THE PARKING ARRANGEMENTS AT THE VENUE?
Please be aware that the venue is located on a
coastal cliff site with some natural barriers to
accessibility, such as steep steps and uneven
ground in some parts of the garden and beach
path.
The historic building and surrounding structure
also have some access limitations. There are
ramps from the end of the car park down to
the back door of the Fort which can be used
for wheelchair access. The gardens are down a
flight of three steps from the main area, which
require a further wheelchair ramp and there are
two further wide steps at the entrance to the
garden, for which the wheelchair ramp can also
be used.
Given the numbers attending we would ask
that any delegate expecting to use a wheelchair,
with other access requirements or queries,
to get in touch in advance to ensure we can
accommodate your needs as best as the venue
allows.
For those unable to attend the event in person,
there will be professional recordings of the
presentations and workshops, alongside aspects
of the social events. The video resources will
be produced and available for purchase via
our on-demand video channel following
the conference. This platform will provide
additional accessibility options, including
subtitles, for the presentations. To be notified
when these resources go live, you can sign-up
here:
www.jungbythesea.co.uk/on-demand
IS THE VENUE ACCESSIBLE?
Yes, the Fort is a non-smoking building. There
are signs at the entrances to the venue.
Please note that ‘secret smoking’ will probably
set off the fire alarm, which will incur a call
out charge to reset the system, and cause
disturbance.
IS THE VENUE NON-SMOKING?
