A Message from
Prime Time’s Leadership
Prime Time took our community engagement to new heights in
the 2022-2023 fiscal year. We were thrilled to be chosen to
co-host Every Hour Counts’ national convening and by all
measures it was a remarkable success. With more than 250
people from 40+ communities across our nation, attendees
joined together to share their stories, unpack their lessons,
and commit to collectively develop equitable opportunities for
youth. Through our partnerships with 29 expert content
providers, Prime Time hit a new height, impacting more than
35,000 youth as we returned to all in-person hands-on
learning opportunities. In addition, Prime Time launched a new
initiative that supports small, emerging content providers who
are bringing more diverse offerings to children in targeted
communities in Palm Beach County, otherwise known as the
Community Empowerment Program.
Recognizing the changing landscape of the workforce as we
welcome many new staff to out-of-school time programs,
Prime Time piloted a new training series designed specifically
to empower and support new leaders with the skills and tools
for success and longevity in the field. In addition, Prime Time
provided incentives to participating sites in the Palm Beach
County Quality Improvement System that leaned into the
foundational skills that build program quality.
These are just a few of the many highlights included in this
year’s report. I hope that you read the quotes from the
practitioners and take in the smiles and wonder of the youth
engaged in activity. Even in tough times, out-of-school time
remains a place of opportunity, discovery and joy.
We would like to thank the providers and partners who have
helped us continue to make out-of-school time a safe and
supportive learning environment, and the Prime Time team for
its dedication to providing supports and services that promote
quality. Making all this possible, of course, is the Prime Time
Board of Directors and funders, for which we are both
immensely grateful.
