We would like to start off by saying good luck to our 2022 school leavers we wish you all the best for your new adventure!
Pre-school’s big interest at the moment is animals and Dinosaurs. Pre-school have been creating different messy activities relating to their interests.
In the next coming weeks pre-school will be welcoming their very own Marvin the monkey. Children in the pre-school room will be able to take Marvin home with them and on any adventures that our pre-school children go on such as holidays, trips to the park etc. We are looking forward to seeing what Marvin and his pre-school friends get up to.
Toddlers have been learning about healthy living and why certain foods are good and bad. Toddlers have really enjoyed their new sensory toys and sensory play. Toddlers have creating lots of different sensory tuff trays using shaving foam, rice, soap etc
.
Babies have also enjoyed learning about Animals and have also created tuff trays using their favourite animals. Babies are also learning the noises each animals make.

On the 16th December the nursery will be shut for staff training day where staff will update their knowledge.
We are saying a few Hellos/Goodbyes and also a few room changes from October.
We are saying Hello to Lorraine who has been with us since 23rd of August. Lorraine has been in childcare for over 10 years and has experience in all ages. Lorraine is our new pre-school room leader and has taken over from Daisy. You will be seeing Lorraine a lot more around the nursery so please say hello.
We are also saying Hello to Jess and Roseie. Jess started with us as bank staff but will be joining us in October full time. Jess has been at her current place for 8 years and is ready to take on a new challenge. Rosie will be starting with us next week as our nursery apprentice.
We are also saying goodbye to Nadia who has been with us since January. Nadia is having a change in carer and is off to do recruitment. Nadia’s last day will be the 7th October. Nadia has learnt a lot since being here and we wish her all the best in the future.
We are having a change of staff in the rooms and they are the following, you will be contacted directly in regards to Key children.

As some of you already know when using Famly you are able to upload parent observations on your child/Children this is important as Parents and carers play a crucial role in supporting their young children’s learning and development, Parent and carer contributions to children’s documentation can help us to bring children’s home lives into the setting and help us to teach in meaningful ways
.
It is also a useful tool to help with parent partnership. Parent partnership helps early year’s practitioners to tailor their service around the specific needs of the child in their care. Parents are experts on their children and through positive communication with the parent, the Practitioner can gather all sorts of information that would otherwise not have been available to them.
