Save the date of August 22nd at FBC Hugo from 7pm to 8 30pm for our Annual Sunday School Conference This year we have our friends form Oklahoma Baptists leading our conference We will begin with a general assembly led by Buddy Hunt our East Regional Ministry Partner beginning at 7 00 PM and then our breakouts will start at 7 45 PM and go to 8 30 PM Our breakout leaders will be Buddy Hunt for Adults Todd Sanders for Youth Sarah Hagar for Children and Alyson Walker for Preschool This conference is for those who teach or lead in any capacity associated with Sunday School and for those who may be thinking about serving at some time in the Sunday School ministry of their church I would ask that you put this date of Tuesday August 22nd at FBC Hugo on your calendar A nursery will be provided at this event Stacia my wife will be leading the trip for the ministry wives weekend that is scheduled for September 2930 If you are interested in going please contact our office for more info Stacia will be taking the Associational Van on this trip I am looking forward to our 130th Annual meeting which is scheduled for October 10th 5 30pm at FBC Valliant This will be a great time of worship fellowship food and taking care of our routine administrative business matters Be watching the church mail for your messenger packets which go out on August 10 Our Associational Pastor s Conference will be held on September 23rd at 9 30 AM at Frink Baptist Church Dr Todd Fisher and Dr Steven Rummage will be leading our conference on preaching There is no cost For this event but you and 1 call to special service Thank you for your support for those who attended Kids and Youth Week KBA camps and stayed at the Frisco Baptist Association cabin Our association offsets the costs for those who stay at our cabin so that it is an affordable option for our churches to attend church camp The cost this summer was only 65 dollars of which 40 goes to the camp for insurance and registration and 25 goes to help with food costs Our Association supplements around 7 000 dollars each year to make it affordable for those who stay with us KBA Frisco Cabin I would like to do one more round of remodeling at our KBA Cabin for next year New mattresses for the dorm and insulation and metal siding for the Dining Hall Bible Study area This will be presented to our messengers at our Baptist Church just east of Hugo We will begin feeding at 6 p m The speaker for this year s event will be Pastor Kyle Cummings from Oak Grove Baptist Church of Hugo Door prizes are a big part of having a large crowd We are asking that each able church please donate a door prize Please bring your door prizes to the Association office as soon as possible We ask that each church provide ten pounds of cooked meat of your choice The meat should be brought to the church in a disposable container no later than 5 30 p m Please bring all food to the Oak Grove Baptist Family Life Center on the east side of the sanctuary Frisco Association also provides and cooks all the vegetables bread additional meat drinks condiments and desserts We want to have plenty of food for our guests and we don t want them to feel obligated to bring anything Please be intentional about this ministry and encourage your men to participate and bring their lost friends This is a great opportunity for fellowship and worship
