Advantage ACT Test Preparation Virtual Online Course (Gr. 10-12) *Advantage Educational Programs provide an introduction to the ACT format and strategies for answering questions as well as instruction for the specic subject areas to be tested. This course is designed for students who wish to improve their test-taking skills and overall score on the ACT college entrance exam. This course is intended primarily for students in 10th through 12th grade, however, students in other grades may still register. Focal points of the program include: diagnostic testing, science reasoning, intensive mathematical review, reasoning comprehension improvement, concentration improvement, overcoming test anxiety, and time management. This virtual classroom meets one day each week for four weeks and is taught live, via Zoom by an Advantage instructor who provides instruction and interaction with the students. Internet connection and access to a computer or laptop is required. STREET DANCEBreakdancing, popping/locking and krumping are some of the different styles of hip-hop that’s been a part of our history and culture since the early 1970s. These unique styles of dance continue to teach our youth the freedom of self-expression through music. Here you will learn the fundamentals of these styles and also the history where it all started. You will learn how to work as a team while also learning to be independent. The best thing about hip-hop is that everyone who wants to dance but may not feel like they can’t, denitely can. In fact, anyone can dance, you just have to nd the right beat/style that ts you and hip-hop can be that for you! The dancers will perform a showcase during the last class of each session.
