I I I C C L I I LI S We are happy to bring you this wedding guide as a small first gift for you Over the years we gained a lot of insight in a lot of aspects of a wedding That s why I compiled this booklet to guide you to truly create the most memorable experience possible This guide is mainly a list of suggestions that you can use for inspiration and ideas so that you can relax and enjoy your wedding day at the fullest If you have your own suggestions for future couples to be please feel free to reach out
PR flPAR fiTIONS Often we see that brides preferred having more time during the morning while getting r eady Please keep in mind that one of the most beautiful shots of the day are captured whilst getting r eady Often we might suggest redoing certain actions to shoot from unique and beautiful angles Remember it is your beautiful day take enough time to enjoy these moments You don t want to be rushed when putting on your dress During preparations you might want your br idesmaids your mother or any family member to assist you whilst putting on your gown make sure they are ready and dressed beforehand for the pictures to come To have the best possible light when getting ready for hair and make up we always strongly recommend being placed next to a beautiful big window rather than a dark room A great idea might be wearing a beautiful night gown or a white kimono when getting r eady Like that you re already picture worthy even before putting on your dress
TOVI BRJDAL DETAILS In the morning we always take some time to capture the bridal details Please have these ready the day befor e so we don t have to disturb you for that during the mor ning For instance it s recommended to have the wedding rings at the bride s location so they can be a part of the bridal details Bridal bouquet either you choose for the traditional approach of the groom handing over the bouquet during the first look or you choose the more modern approach which is being used more and mor e having the bouquet at the bride s location in the morning These make up for some gorgeous shots where the bouquet is combined with the wedding dress or included at the bridal details Other beautiful items for the bridal shots can include your ear r ings necklaces or other jewelry you might be wearing on your wedding day engagement r ing flowers you might be wearing in your hair your perfume bottle your wedding invitations your wedding shoes and anything you would like to see added in the shot When choosing a second photographer we make sure to capture the groom s preparation as well This gives you the opportunity of having details ready for him too This could be as simple as a piece of wood that suits your wedding style the bow tie or tie the watch the shoes handker chief all boutonnier es cuff links invitation his perfume bottle cigar s favorite whisk e y anything goes
FIR ST LOOI Undoubtably one of the most memorable moments of your big day is the first look There are different takes on how we do this we can do a more classical walk down the stairs or when the weather allows it we can take you outside Often we will take the family with us so they too can enjoy this intimate moment Of course we will keep your preferences in consideration in order to capture this moment We will always advise to have enough time planned for your first look as this is a very special moment
THE WEDDING SHOOT Please take enough time for the shoot during the day One hour for the shoot is really the bare minimum preferably we d have 2 hours or more Think ahead of some beautiful locations where you d like these pictures Some couples prefer castles some prefer the city One thing that always works is greenery a beautiful tree lane is a w inner almost always Remember locations are everything Multiple locations generate a beautiful variety for your wedding gallery and your memories to be
IN CASE OF I AIN Rain offers stunning pictures too In case of rain take some boots and beautiful umbrellas It is always recommended to have a backup location ready for your shoot in case the rain gets really heavy an old building a characteristic castle a big open library an eccentric museum a stunning hotel or any other unique location is always gorgeous Either way we will try to have some pictures outside too because the rain is not going to be visible in your pictures the way we capture them We usually have a white and transparent umbrella with us but if you d see there d be rain predicted make sure to have transparent umbrellas for the entire family
FAMILY PHOTOS Family pictures take around 45 minutes to 1 hour depending on how big your family is We will start off with the group shots the entire fam ily one half of the family and give variation with fun shots too These will take around half an hour We recommend putting on the boutonnieres on the groomsmen beforehand so we re able to have all this time available for family portraits When the group photos are done we will do the m icro com binations bride mother bride father and so forth It is recommended that you have a list beforehand of the different combos you would like to have Nothing is worse than afterwards saying oh I wish I had a picture alone with my grandmother too Give this list to one of your bridesmaids or a family member who can then direct your family during the family shots Like this the family pictures will go much quicker and totally stress free
THE AISLE If you happen to have a master of cer emonies please keep in mind we prefer them as invisible as possible When you walk down the aisle at your cer emony and the priest or master of ceremonies walks right in front of you please start walking more slowly or even stop when you have to When they are right in front of you there is no opening for that gorgeous shot of you walking down the aisle and we wouldn t want to miss that THE RJNGS THE I ISS In the heat of the moment you might be in a hur r y Please enjoy this moment A general rule is do everything as slowly as possible It only happens once some people give a quick kiss in a hurry because of the excitement Take your time give a long tender kiss so everybody can cheer you on Give us the photogr apher s time to capture this once in a lifetime moment in multiple angles and as beautifully as possible The same goes for the rings don t try to rush this Everybody loves seeing the rings being put on If you put on the r ings please keep in mind to hold your hands slightly lower when putting them on and having your wrists pointing upwar ds Other wise you might obscure the scene by your own hand Again do this slowly and car efully so we are able to take both the close up of your hands as the wider scene Tip if the rings don t slide on easily because they are on the tight side try twisting the ring back and forth they will slide on much easier
THE R flCEPTION Usually this is the moment you will have for yourself with your guests What we usually do is capture the scene by taking some atmospheric shots Feel free to tell your guests that they have but to ask us when they would like their picture taken If you opted for our photo booth one of us will be at the photo booth at all times and like this all guests will be photographed on a beautiful backdrop and be in the photo for sure while the other photographer will be capturing the beautiful atmosphere of your wedding Please keep in mind that you set some time apart during your reception if you d like to have some pictures with your friends and or guests During dinner there is often no time and daylight anymore Creating these memories with your friends create often amazing images If we haven t asked yet and you want a picture get to us and never hesitate to ask
GOLDEN HOVR i SVNSET BLVE HOVI If your beautiful day is blessed with the right conditions your wedding day will have a golden hour Golden hour is the last hour before the sunset and at that moment the sun casts a gorgeous golden glow The most beautiful pictures out there are all taken during golden hour This window of the sun about to set happens in a time span of only 15 minutes If we see this moment approaching we will inform you so we can make sure we don t miss this golden opportunity After golden hour approximately half an hour to an hour later blue hour dawns upon us Blue hour is the moment when the sky isn t completely dark yet and a blue hue is still visible This in itself creates an amazing backdrop for many gorgeous images and is definitely worth getting outside for Note that for these moments we won t do an entire photoshoot but we just take you outside very quickly so you can go back to your guests as soon as possible
NIGHT During the evening usually between dinner and dessert we will have edited 40 of your most gorgeous images of the day For this slideshow we would like to have a beamer and screen at our disposal or if your venue wouldn t happen to have that please let us know in advance so we know we bring our own screen and beamer It would be awesome for us if we would have a little table in a separate room with 2 chairs at our disposal where we can store our photography gear charge batteries and switch cards backup your day and in case of the slideshow edit your photos During the evening it would be nice to include us during dinner so we can photograph your wedding dishes without disturbing any guests and getting the perfect image whilst everybody is enjoying their meal Later during the evening usually during dinner we will take you outside for some night shots If you have a second dress which you might wear for the first dance or for the party please let us know in advance so we can assure the night shots are taken in your wedding gown before changing
SPA RJ LER S A nice addition to any wedding gallery is to use sparklers to create a light tunnel outside This illumination always creates an amazing effect and gives the guests a fun interactive moment to be a part of
TIME TABLE Three days before your wedding date we would like to receive the final version of your wedding planning This planning contains the hours and locations of what happens when and where We will give you one last call the day before or a few days before the wedding to go over the details and any possible lastminute chan ges so your day itself everything can run as smoothly as possible We suggest planning enough buffer everywhere From buttons falling off the dress last minute chan ges family members being too late problems with the motor of the old timer being too late for the civil wedding We ve seen it all and you do not want to get stressed on your wedding day If you have buffer you will never have any issues And with the down time in between I often make the most memorable photographs Also keep in mind that beautiful pictures with for instance your bridesmaids or your mom while she s closing your dress can take a bit of time When I see there s not enough time I will simply not take these images and stick to the regular on es but it would be a shame not eternalizing these moments by simply not having put in enough time Keep in mind everything you think will take 5 minutes will take an extra 5 That s why we created an ideal time table for you which is based on our experience of over 100 weddings and with the advice of experienced wedding plan n ers Please don t feel forced in any way to stick to this time table it is solely for you to have an idea of how much time everything takes but your day is of course up to you to decide If you are working with a wedding planner they will take great care of this and we will tune in with them The only general rules as far as photography goes you should have in mind is An extra quarter during getting ready minimum An hour to 2 hours for your couple shoot 45 min to 1 hour for the family shoot But of course the more the merrier I ve had wedding days where we had all afternoon to go shoot wedding pictures and of course those gave some incredibly beautiful results
