CHRISTOPHER INTERGENERATIONAL SUNDAY SCHOOL: PART 2, JULY 20 – AUGUST 10 The Divine Gifts of Jubilee include various forms of liberation, consolation, and preparation and hope for the future. As St. Christopher prepares to celebrate its Platinum Jubilee celebration, we will pause to reflect upon the significance of the Biblical concept of Jubilee, and the theological, spiritual, and practical gifts of what is intended as a rare and holy season. We will answer the questions: What is a Jubilee and what invitation does it offer God’s People in this generation. We will give attention to the variety of voices, especially those of our younger Christians, in helping the Parish Family of St. Christopher to imagine a true time of Jubilee! AUGUST 3, WEEK 2 – HOLY PLANS: JUBILEE AND RESTORATION Grounding Scripture: Leviticus 25:39-55 Theological Significance: The Jubilee was a time of restoration, both for the land and for individuals who had been excluded or forgotten.
