CHRISTOPHER BOTTLEPAX MINISTRY When you encounter our neighbors without housing on street corners and byways, do you ever wonder what you can do that will matter? We have an answer for you: the parish's bottlepax outreach ministry. Just take a couple of "pax" (offerings of "peace") and place these in your car. Located outside the welcome center, these are yours for the taking, to be turned around as giving. ST. CHRISTOPHER LITTLE FOOD PANTRY Our Little Food Pantry is an ongoing much needed community ministry and has been highly utilized these past few months. Pick up a shopping suggestions list near one of our entrances. A collection container labeled Food Pantry has been placed near the Formation Center. Our pantry stock is MEDIUM. Non-perishable Foods only. Thank you for all your generosity! INTERFAITH CARING MINISTRIES Toilet tissue, paper products, feminine hygiene, dental care items, laundry detergent, pet food, non-perishable foods. Toilet tissue and paper products are the most frequently requested items. A collection container is located outside the Formation Center. ANCHOR POINT Any items supporting infant and toddler care, including diapers (especially Size 5), wipes, food, formula, and new clothing. Wipes are the most frequently requested items. PARISH NEWS NEW SUNDAY MORNING CHRISTIAN FORMATION A Message of Hope from the Letter to the Colossians Sunday May 4, 11, and June 1 9:15am in Formation Center Paul's letter to the church in Colossae speaks across the ages, offering a message of hope, faith, and redemption. This course is a historical, theological, and pastoral introduction to Colossians. Mtr. Viktoria+ will present content inviting 3 key themes of hope for the Church today. PARISH MEETING & PANTRY BLESSING Save the date to join us for a Parish Meeting and Blessing of the new Little Food Pantry on Sunday, May 18th between services beginning at 9:15am in Buckner Hall. This gathering will allow us to have intentional conversations about our hopes and dreams for the future of the Family Ministries at St. Christopher. We will eat, get to know each other better, and dive into deep discussion about the vision we hope to cast as a community. We hope you will come to this gathering prepared with ideas and visions for what Family ministries can look like at St. Christopher moving forward. NEW WEDNESDAY MORNING WOMEN’S BIBLE STUDY Last week, Wednesday Morning Women’s Bible Study began a six-week new study on Context by Josh Scott as he delves into well-known scripture verses and stories, exploring their true meanings by examining them in their original biblical context. Join them 9:30am on Wednesday mornings in the Formation Center. SUMMER AT ST. CHRISTOPHER Beginning June 1st, join us at St. Christopher where we will experience the vibrant community, fellowship, and worship of our Summer Season. For the months of June, July, and August, our Sunday morning schedule will change to the following: 8:00am - RITE I in the sanctuary 9:15am - Potluck breakfast in Buckner Hall 9:45am - Intergenerational Sunday School in Buckner Hall 10:30am - Combined Worship, alternating between Rite II (traditional worship space) and Contemporary (Buckner Hall) Please join us for this exciting season at St. Chris! PLATINUM JUBLIEE Save the date of November 1st and 2nd to join us in celebrating St. Christopher Episcopal Church's Platinum Jubilee (70 years 1955-2025). Look for exciting information to come. WOMEN’S RETREAT: SAVE THE DATE Save the date of April 24-26, 2026 to join the Women of St. Christopher at Camp Allen. We will spend the weekend in fellowship with each other, enjoying some restful time away from the city and learning from God’s Word. Details to come later this year.
