We celebrated our 13th anniversary as a school and opened our Bilin-gual School doors to over 240 students in grades PreK to Sen-iors. There are over 300 in our Spanish School. August/September/October 2024 - PAGE 2 Our H2H Seniors, Gloria and Geidy, joined their classmates for the grand entrance at our opening ceremo-nies the rst day. They arrived by truck spewing colored smoke, wearing their new Senior Jackets. Our Seniors are leaders in our school, orchestrang all important assemblies, Chapels, and programs during the year. Children’s Day is a big celebraon in Honduras, for kids up to age 12. This year we took the whole PreK – 6th grades to SPS to visit a museum, ending the eld trip with lunch at Chuck E Cheese!! Children’s Day Independence Day September 15 was Independence Day in Honduras. Our schools participated in the annual parade.
August/September/October 2024 PAGE 3 Ten of our H2H College students returned to their studies in San Pedro Sula early in September, aer a cele-braon to end the summer vacaon with church at the new village Mission Center in Tepita, followed by lunch and an ocean swim in Masca. The twelve remaining at home in Puerto Cortes are teaching, working, or taking online classes. We are blessed by, and so proud of our girls. BIRTHDAYS Marbella - Age 21 Delia- Age 22 Olga - Age 27 Idalmy- Age 21 Belkis - Age 24 UPDATES FROM THE “FRONT LINES” IN H2H HONDURAS Meet Miss Greysi Hernandez, an intern from Leadership Mission Internaonal, doing her eld work requirement with H2H at their request. “Leadership Mission In-ternaonal (LMI) invites women from rural areas throughout Hon-duras to engage in their own per-sonal development journey at The Leadership Center (TLC). During their two years on campus, young women receive a naonally ac-credited educaon and the men-torship and support to become change agents leading entrepre-neurial ventures and sustainable development in their communi-es.” We were very blessed to have her with us for 10 weeks.
