Woodward Academy Dress Code Why Uniforms? At Woodward Academy, uniforms help reflect our school pride, identity, and community spirit, while simplifying daily routines by removing the ‘what to wear” question. We find that our dress code policies, including uniforms, also help students stay focused on their education, instead of their clothes, and create a more equitable culture that reduces the appearance of socioeconomic disparities. For all these reasons and more, uniforms help unite us across social groups, classrooms, grade levels, and schools. The dress code is also a means of teaching our students life skills in how to present themselves while embodying the culture of a larger community.
