Welcome to the Climb! Our nonprofit was founded in 2022 from a personal need. I was "climbing" in my careerand did not have the guidance of a woman of color to help me navigate myorganization's nuances and political landscape. When I became a senior leader, Irealized that my experience was not unique; many women of color who looked like mewere trying to understand how to navigate and climb the "career ladder." From thatknown need, I founded The Climb to fill the gap in supporting women of color aspiringto become managers or executives. Women make up almost half of the workforce in America, but few are in leadershiproles within their companies. This is especially true for women of color. The rate ofwomen of color in leadership is drastically low compared to white female counterparts. Our goal is to demystify the career climb, providing a culturally inclusive and welcomingspace for women of color seeking mentoring, connection, and coaching to becomecareer leaders. We want these women to recognize their assets and use them inbuilding an intentional career journey. The Climb has established a Women of Color Coaching Network with a dedicated focuson supporting and empowering women of color. Women of Color Coaches possess aprofound understanding of the unique challenges and experiences that women of colorencounter across various aspects of their lives. This insight enables them to providecompassionate and culturally sensitive coaching. Moreover, these coaches are adept attailoring their coaching approaches to meet the specific needs, goals, and aspirations ofThe Climb members. We believe that, as a coach, you possess the qualities necessary to empower andnurture the next generation of women of color leaders. The Climb cordially invites youto become part of our Women of Color Coaching Network. Your participation would begreatly valued.Thank you for considering our invitation. We are eagerly looking forward to discussinghow your involvement in our network can foster positive and lasting transformationamong women of color leaders while also being mutually beneficial.Sincerely,Felicia SmithFounder and ChairpersonThe Climb 42395 Ryan Rd. #112-103 Ashburn, VA 20148 | www.the-climb.org |
