Design your own WintergartenTM We have developed a modular system that allows you either on your own or working with a professional to choose what you need for your Wintergarten At the back of this brochure are 4 sheets to help you select what parts you will need Once you send it to us we ll give you a quote and 3D model of what your Wintergarten will look like If you like you can send us a picture of your home and we will send you the picture with the Wintergarten drawn on to your house On the following pages we explain the different options that we offer in our Wintergarten range The numbers refer to the numbers on the design sheets If you are uncertain about how this works please ring us or you will find a lot of information on our website www thermadura co nz This stage is only for the quote so that you get an idea of the cost of what you want 1 DESIGN roof style The Wintergarten system is available in a gable roof or a pitched roof construction The Gable Wintergarten gable roof Freyja Wintergarten single pitched roof Both designs are also available in extra tall which suits some homes better The extra tall design simply uses one extra unit making it four units tall rather than the more usual three We call the taller design Wintergarten XL The design sheets can be downloaded in the Wintergarten area of our website If you need inspiration please check out the gallery on our website WINTERGARTEN XL One size does not fit all Both the Gable and Freyja can be designed to fit your home Some houses would look out of proportion with a usual three unit high Wintergarten If your home would look better with a taller conservatory then the Wintergarten XL is for you Wintergarten XL is 720mm taller 60mm transom 660mm clearance We use all the same joinery windows and doors as we do in our standard Wintergarten Wintergarten design Freyja with bifold door and tilt turn door

2 SIZE The Wintergarten is a modular system which means the doors windows and wall units are all set sizes The Wintergarten system is designed in modules of 1 meter centres Your Wintergarten can be as wide and deep as you choose To help you work out what you need there are design sheets at the back of this brochure or on our website www thermadura co nz Using a pen draw on the sheet how many units wide you need your Wintergarten to be then mark on the number of units you need for the depth Look for the word Start for where you should start your design from 3 WALL HEIGHT The low side of the conservatory gutter side is a set height and you can only select between the standard height of 2100mm Wintergarten standard and 2820mm Wintergarten XL If you require other dimensions please contact us The height of your conservatory is the highest point where the walls meet the conservatory roof or the Apex for design the gable You need to choose how high you want your conservatory to be The greater the height of the conservatory Apex Wall height the steeper the roof angle will be Other technical details CAD for the Wintergarten system are available in the login area on our website Vertical cross section example design Freyja A copper spouting downpipes and flashings are great features for a wooden conservatory Inquire about our modular copper spouting and flashing options which we can supply with our conservatories optional No silicone sealing soldering necessary Wintergarten with exterior awning

6 WINDOWS AND DOORS 7 Timber windows and doors 8 Even by European standards our ThermaDura tilt turn window and door range is top of the line and future proof We are ahead of European standards we have increased the thickness of our timber frames from 68mm to 78mm to increase the thermal efficiency of the windows and doors All our windows and doors are equipped with double seals and 3D adjustable hardware All joinery is supplied with a quality finish of your choice Timber Aluminium windows and doors Timber aluminium windows and doors combine the best of both options The Aluminium shell provides weather protection and the timber frame provides stability outstanding thermal insulation and gives the building a warm pleasant feeling Our aluminium frames feature rearventilation and are mounted onto the timber with special fastners which are tension free this allows the timber to breathe and the aluminium frame to expand and contract without restraint during temperature fluctuations The corner joints of the aluminium shell are tension connected to ensure a perfectly closed corner joint The hardware used for the ThermaDura timber aluminium joinery is almost identical to the hardware we use for our timber joinery All our ThermaDura Wintergarten windows and doors are designed in a modular system Please go to the design sheet and select the sorts of units you would like window and door options and sizes

12 WINTERGARTEN INSTALLATION Our conservatories are designed as a pre finished product that only requires assembly on site This allows us to transport the conservatories all around New Zealand We offer different options for the installation of the conservatory on site 13 1 Construction manager A ThermaDura construction manager organises the assembly of the conservatory on site In this case our construction manager works hand in hand with your builder on site to assemble the conservatory This is possible because all conservatory parts are pre fitted in our factory The flashing between the house and conservatory needs to be done by the builder on site The construction manager ensures an efficient work process and is the point of contact for any questions 2 ThermaDura installation Once the foundation has been prepared by your builder our team can install your conservatory ThermaDura or your builder can carry out the connection between the house and the conservatory There are different requirements depending if it is a new building or a renovation project 3 Thermadura Project management In the Dunedin area ThermaDura offers to manage the project from the building consent to the sign off by the council Building consent documentation Assembly on site Finished Wintergarten ThermaDura supplies CAD drawings of your Wintergarten and standard flashing details for the installation of the conservatory An engineering report and product certification documents are supplied for the building consent application after the order is confirmed
