Wise Words Of Wonder
“Every storm runs out of rain.” -Gary Allan
Reflective Essay As the title of the essay says, “Wise Words of Wonder,” this collection is from the heart as I’m growing up and learning new things, and how to deal with certain situations. Growing up makes you realize parts of your past you might not have noticed before, that why I talk about my past, present, and hopeful future. From the girl I was, to the girl that I am now. There have been many changes throughout my life and my mindset that pushed me to write this poem the way I did. It’s almost been three long years since I lost my best friend. It hits me like it was just last week. Most of my writings pertain to her as a way of coping and keeping her alive in my eyes. My poem “She” is a poem I was a little nervous to share because of the last line of the poem. She was the girl in my life that I loved so deeply, she would never be able to dig a hole deep enough to reach my love for her. There is no one is this world I adore more than anything is my little sister Bella. She has been through some hardships in her life, but that has never stopped her. Like how I use my words to express myself, she uses pictures and her paintings to represent her feelings. Bella is my little “Masked Artist.” Being my second year here at Cowley, it is also my last year here and then onto the next obstacle for me to face. I know people here will miss me and be sad with me leaving town. Don’t remember our times as sad moments, but remember the happy memories were share, “Remember Me.”
“Timeline” PRESENT The college girl who grew up too fast The girl who wishes to be in the books The want to be writer with the favorite color of purple Long awaited healing Still a long road to go FUTURE (HOPES) I hope to be a writer of a variety of genres I hope to mean something to people one day I hope to be heard FUTURE (FEARS) I fear of the obvious failure I fear of the obvious mess up I won’t try hard enough I fear I’ll lose myself
“She” Not noticed by many except the wrong people She walked the streets made with red brick She swam the chemical filled pools She ran across the fields of green She crunched the warm colored leaves that hit the ground She spoke with such sweet tongue She danced to the music that excited her heart She loved like no other in the world She lived like the girl I loved

She is something special Her art could tell you that Her voice could amaze a crowd I love her, I’m so proud Beautiful Extraordinary Loving Light-hearted Amazing Bella
“Remember Me” Remember me when I am gone away Don’t lie yourself in constant sorrow Don’t let yourself weep days on end Don’t let the mourning memories seep into your head Remember me kindly and happily Remember me joyful and loving Remember me with a smile and a laugh Remember me with a tear and a frown Remember the jokes and the stories Remember the talks and the lectures Remember the colors and the patterns Remember the noise and the quiet See me when a butterfly flutters in the sky
See me when the rain peacefully falls See me when stars shoot across the night sky See me when the colors mix in the evening and morning sky Remember me when I am gone away
