William Hanna

William Hanna was born in melrose, New Mexico,1910. 

When illiam was only nine years old his famly and him had to move to Los Angeles, but almost instantly he found a love of his life, Boy Scouts. When William grew up he became an animator and worked at MGM. While his time at MGM he created the legendary cat and mouse, Tom and Jerry. In 1957 William and his partner Joseph Barbera setup thier own studio and found huge success with thier creations, The Flintstones, Tom and Jerry, and The Jetsones, plus much, much, more.

Williams main goal was only to create laughter. William, whith the help of Barbera, won several awards including seven academy awards and eight Emmy's. In 2001, March 22, William Hanna Passed away in north California.


Why I chose this animator is quite obvious. The reason is that I love most of his animated shows. Ex:Tom and Jerry, The Flintstones and Scooby-Doo Where are you?  

He his considered legendary because of his legendary creations. Ex:Scooby-Doo Where Are You?

  • 1910, William Hanna was born.

  • 1918, World War 1 ended.
  • 1919, William Hanna moved to Los Angeles and joined Boy Scouts
  • 1930's, When William Grew up he became an animator and joined MGM
  • 1939, World War 2 started
  • 1945, World War 2 ended
  • 1957, William Hanna And his partner, Joseph Barbera, setup thier own studio.
  •  1980, the studio is still having success.
  • 2001, March 22, William Hanna past away in north California.
