BATHINDAGeneral information Bathinda is a city ofPunjab, whose old name was Bathinda. Thisname was named after kings from BhatiRajput family who ruled the area. It is also theadministrative head office for the Bathindadistrict. The city is just 225 kilometers (about139.81 mi) away in the west of Punjab’s capitalcity of Chandigarh. Bathinda is also known asthe City of Lakes. In the olden days, the citywas known as the Tabarhindh or Tabar-e-hind,the meaning of which is Gateway to India1.• Local Weather Bathinda District is in thesouthern part of Punjab state in the heart ofMalwa region. MORNING • Eat a substantial breakfast to set yourself up forthe day. • Attend a briefing to go over the objectives,duties, and safety procedures for the day. • Take part in practical activities leadingseminars, helping at neighborhood gatherings, orworking on environmental conservationinitiatives. In the afternoon: • Take a break for lunch so you can unwind andrevitalize. • Proceed with your voluntary work, which mightinvolve mentoring students, planning educationalresources, or working on development initiativeswith neighbors. • Participate in programs that promote culturalexchange or skill development to further yourown education and growth.  Evening: • After supper, discuss your experiences from theday with other volunteers.
