How It All Started Guido Peleman had a vision of creating a solution to a problem many businessmen were having in the 1940 s So in 1939 Mr Peleman founded Peleman Saerens And then fifteen years later founded a limited liability company LLC However it took many more years to be able to run the business because as Mr Peleman was building his infrastructure there was a flood in Ruisbroek that was devastating to the company and stock as well as machinery were destroyed So in 1978 Unibind Inc was born as well as the first patented product the Unicover A year later Unibind Inc celebrated the development of their first Binding machines the series 12 and 18 Only a short 4 years later Unibind Inc started expanding to Paris then later Germany and on and on from there where the company would eventually be in every inhabited continent
