Where to have your wedding is one of the most important decisions you will make before your big day We are glad that you chose to have your wedding at Covenant First At Covenant First Presbyterian Church we believe that marriage is the most sacred union that you will enter The purpose of a Christian marriage is to celebrate marriage as a gift from God The sanctuary here is a sacred place and we ask that everyone respect the sanctity of this place The following are the policies and guidelines the Covenant First Presbyterian Church Elders have adapted for a wedding at Covenant First Presbyterian Church We hope this will be a help to you as you plan for your ceremony Preparation for Your Wedding Please contact the church administrator Genita Heidenreich 513 621 4144 x106 genita covfirstchurch org to schedule a tour and secure the date you want for the ceremony Our hope is that this will give you the information you need to answer any questions regarding your wedding feel free to contact the church administrator with any questions that are not answered in this booklet Once the date and time of your wedding is approved we will need a statement of Christian faith from the pastor officiating the wedding The state ment of faith must be approved by our pastor If our church pastor is officiating your wedding you will need to talk directly with him to make those arrangements and discuss fees Please make an appointment by contacting him at 513 621 4144 X101 Your wedding date will be held for 30 days at which time wedding contract form and one half of the wedding fee is due to finalize and hold the date This form and payment should be completed and delivered in person or mailed to the church office Covenant First Presbyterian Church 717 Elm Street Cincinnati OH 45202 Wedding Fees and Time Arrangements The fee for a wedding at Covenant First is 800 Special arrangements need to be made to have a wedding on a holiday weekend and the fee is increased to 1000 This covers any necessary cleaning as well as the staff required to help make sure that your wedding day is perfect If you would like to have the organ for your wedding an additional fee of 300 should be paid directly to the organist Arrangements for the organist will be made through the church administrator You will then need to contact the organist to discuss musical choices and payment Payment to the organist will be made directly to the organist The use of the reception hall is an additional fee of 775 Use of the church is limited to no more than four hours on the day of the wedding and no more than two hours on the day of the rehearsal Any additional time will be charged at the rate of 100 per hour Weddings cannot be scheduled on Easter or Christmas weekend or on Sundays The final payment is due two weeks before the ceremony Please make payments payable to Covenant First Presbyterian Church and send payment to Covenant First Presbyterian Church 717 Elm Street Cincinnati OH 45202 2

Decorations and Photography Although the sanctuary at Covenant First is a beautiful place of worship we understand that you will want to decorate it to your taste We encourage you to decorate the pews with flowers bows ribbons and any other items you might want to use Please use nondamaging fasteners and not tacks nails or tape that can damage the wood Please have decorations approved by the church administrator prior to the rehears al We encourage you to take pictures during the wedding service to pre serve the memories of this special occasion We have a few simple guidelines in place to honor the nature of the traditional wedding ser vice Flash photograph and video recordings of the wedding are allowed however restrictions should be discussed with the wedding officiant We encourage you to notify your guests ahead of time if you are not comfortable with them taking pictures during the ceremony Other Helpful Information The church does not provide parking for weddings Paid parking is available at area garages surface lots and meters surrounding the church Keep in mind meters are in effect until 9 PM Please use the ramp door at Elm Street as the entrance and exit for the rehearsal and for early arrivals on the day of the wedding Church staff will open the front doors 30 minutes prior to the ceremony Please do not prop open any doors or exit from those not designated This ensures the privacy of the event If there are valuables that you wish to keep safe during the cere mony these items can be secured in the church office Please do not leave purses and valuables unattended If necessary items may be secured in the church office prior to the start of the cere mony The furniture pieces at the front of the church are priceless hand crafted antiques Please do not attempt to move this furniture for your wedding Covenant First Presbyterian Church is a smoke and alcohol free building Smoking or alcoholic beverages are not permitted in the building at any time for any reason Food and or beverages are not permitted in the sanctuary at any time Please always supervise children Thank you for your interest in having your wedding at Covenant First Presbyterian Church We wish God s blessing on your wedding and your marriage If you have additional questions please contact the Church Administrator by email at genita covfirstchurch org or 513 621 4144 X106 3
