8San Francisco Museum of Modern Art ExpansionSan Francisco, CACLIENT: SFMOMA SCALE: 225,000 SF ADDITION | 20,000 SF RENOVATION | VALUE: $246.2MThis expansion and renovation doubled the exhibition and education space and more deeply weaved the museum into the City’s cultural fabric. The project ran contiguously along the back of the preexisting museum, allowing for a seamless integration of the two structures, and extends across an entire city block in San Francisco’s downtown. In addition to exhibition space, the project included approximately 85,000 square feet of support space with larger and more advanced conservation facilities and an expanded library. Webcor self-performed concrete, carpentry and building specialties. This project is LEED Gold®.

10California Academy of Sciences San Francisco, CACLIENT: CALIFORNIA ACADEMY OF SCIENCES SCALE: 409,178 SF | $255M This award-winning facility is made up of exhibit spaces, specimen collections, aquarium life support, auditoriums, laboratories and education spaces, administration, retail and food service, back-of-house support, and a central utility plant. The design is highlighted by a 2.5-acre living roof and included all underground utility infrastructure associated with the aquarium and existing research facilities stretching over a six-acre site. Webcor self-performed concrete. This project is double LEED Platinum®.

12Cathedral of Christ the LightOakland, CACLIENT: CATHEDRAL OF CHRIST THE LIGHT SCALE: 322,817 SF | $81.2M The project is composed of the 1,500-seat cathedral church, the chancery oce of the bishop’s curia, a conference center, rectory, Order of Malta Northern California Health Clinic, a mausoleum, City Lights Cafe and the Cathedral Shop, a public plaza and garden. Webcor self-performed concrete, carpentry, mass timber and building specialties.

14Moscone Center ExpansionSan Francisco, CACLIENT: MOSCONE EXPANSION DISTRICTSCALE: 350,000 SF | $470MThis CM-GC/IPD project involved reconfiguring the convention center’s North and South Exhibit Halls to increase exhibition space. The project increased contiguous exhibition space, ballroom, meeting room, retail, and support spaces. Complex sequencing, scheduling, and pedestrian-safe access measures were put in place and imperative to accommodate the center’s full convention schedule during construction. This LEED Platinum® project creates less carbon emissions per visitor than any other major convention center in North America, saves more than 5 million gallons of water annually, and generates clean energy with the largest rooftop solar installation in San Francisco. 16SFO Harvey Milk Terminal 1 Boarding Area BSan Francisco, CACLIENT: SAN FRANCISCO INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT SCALE: 572,538 SF | $860MAs one of the largest boarding areas on the SFO campus, this project reconfigured airside systems for 24 new gates and associated passenger boarding bridges. The continuous terminal’s 1,500’ is connected by four people movers, 11 elevators, and multiple temporary and permanent public art displays. The project honors the life and legacy of Harvey Milk, the first openly gay elected ocial in the history of California. The front lobby features an exhibit highlights his legacy fighting for diversity, equity, and inclusion. Webcor self-performed concrete and doors. This project is first LEED Platinum® airport terminal in the world.

18Diane B. Wilsey Center for OperaSan Francisco, CACLIENT: SAN FRANCISCO OPERA ASSOCIATION SCALE: 55,162 SF | $15.7MThe focal point of the project was the Dianne and Tad Traube Atrium Theater, a 299-seat flexible theater space situated at the center of the Opera’s facility. With an emphasis on expanding the Opera’s audience base to a younger crowd, this performance area was specifically design and built to facilitate a one-of-a-kind environment that would enable intimate, adventurous, and non-traditional experiences for attendees. The project alo includesshared community performance and rehearsal space, an education studio, public opera archives, galleries, administrative oces and costume shop. The project consolidates most of the company’s operations into a single campus. This project is LEED Gold®.

20Tenderloin MuseumSan Francisco, CACLIENT: UPTOWN TENDERLOIN, INC. SCALE: 3,300 SFWebcor partnered with The Tenderloin Housing Clinic to create the Tenderloin Museum, the frst museum to tell the story of this historic San Francisco neighborhood. Named one of the top ten new museums by the Guardian UK, the Tenderloin Museum uncovered the hidden history of the neighborhood while providing a place for today’s local artists, poets, and activists to share their work with the diverse Tenderloin community. This new community hub aimed to encourage a sense of pride for people living and working in the Tenderloin today. The museum attracted visitors and locals to the Tenderloin, bringing vital foot trac to the area and boosting local businesses.

22Museum of African Diaspora (MoAD)San Francisco, CAARCHITECT: THE FREELON GROUP SCALE: 20,000 SF | $6.75 MThe Museum of the African Diaspora occupies 20,000 Sq. Ft. on portions of three floors of the St. Regis Hotel and Residences designed by SOM. Located at the corner of Third and Mission Streets in San Francisco, MoAD is in the heart of the Yerba Buena cultural district and is a close neighbor to San Francisco Museum of Modern Art. As a dynamic, world-class institution, MoAD brings people of all ages, ethnicities, and backgrounds together so they can enjoy, study and appreciate, through enriching exhibitions, public and educational programs, the culture, history and art of people of African descent within the United States and throughout the world.

24Letterman Digital Arts CenterSan Francisco, CAARCHITECT: PRESIDO TRUST SCALE: 1,580,000 SF | $245 MLetterman Digital Arts Center set in San Francisco’s historic Presidio National Park is a corporate campus project with a construction cost of $245 million. Gensler and HKS Architects designed the project. Filmmaker George Lucas partnered with the Presidio Trust to bring about the 23-acre campus that is the new combined home of Industrial Light & Magic, LucasArts, and Lucasfilm’s marketing, online, and licensing units and houses 1,500 employees. The campus houses a 350-seat theater with a 49’x21’ screen, optimized for both film and 4K digital files. It sits on a poured slab, which isolates the projection room from vibrations. 26SFO Consolidated Administration Campus (CAC)San Francisco, CACLIENT: AIRPORT COMMISSION OF CITY & COUNTY OF SAN FRANCISCO SCALE: 135,000 SF | $81 MThe CAC consolidates four distinct employee groups under one roof. The ground floor houses the SFO museum workshop. The museum workshop is responsible for curating the art pieces within all the airport’s terminals and is the only accredited museum within an airport in the country. In the portion of the campus used for museum collections storage, extra care was given to temperature and humidity controls. The DOAS air handler was designed with a DX coil for dehumidification, which is easy to maintain and cost-eective. Humidification is then provided as needed by an in-duct atomizing ultrasonic humidifying system. This project is LEED Gold®.

28The Mexican Museum Four Seasons 706 Mission San Francisco, CACLIENT: 706 MISSION STREET CO, LLC SCALE: 700,000 SF | $405 MFour Seasons Private Residences at 706 Mission totals 700,000 square feet throughout two structures with 48 levels above grade and three levels below grade. It includes 146 residential units. Subterranean parking totals 470 stalls. The project includes ground-level retail/restaurant shell space as well as a cultural museum coined ‘The Mexican Museum.’ The Four Seasons Residences at 706 Mission also features a connection and restoration of the 115-year-old historic Aronson Building. The project oers 5-star hotel-style amenities. Webcor self-performed concrete, casework, millwork, doors and Hardware, carpentry and building specialties. This project is LEED Silver®.
