At ground level, it houses the 20,000-square-foot Museum for the African Diaspora. As part of the project, Webcor renovated and repurposed a Romanesque Revival low-rise structure bordering the site. The city center creates a pedestrian thoroughfare with shops, restaurants, and bars linking the financial, sports, and entertainment districts.Phase I includes 308 designer-appointed studios and one and two-bedroom condominiums and penthouses in a 40-level tower and 350 Hotel Indigo keys in an adjacent 18-level tower. The hotel consists of the lobby-level Metropole Bar+Kitchen, a lounge and bar space on the 18th floor, meeting and convention space, a pool deck, and fitness space. This development totals over 1.9 million square feet throughout three structures with 16, 44, and 44 levels above grade. It includes 363 luxury condominiums and 400 Fairmont Century Plaza hotel keys. Connected parking totals 379,845 square feet and 4,016 stalls. The project is inclusive of a historic renovation, expansion, and seismic retrofit to the original, Minoru Yamasaki-designed Century Plaza hotel and the ground-up construction of the two 44-level triangular glass towers that flank the hotel’s west elevation and contain 290 luxury condominiums. The uppermost four floors of the Century Plaza Hotel were converted to house 73 luxury condominiums. The two new Century Plaza towers include three outdoor pools, a helipad, private dining rooms, wine storage, a gym, and a screening room. This design-build project totals 272,000 square feet throughout one structure with 12 levels above grade. It includes 351 sound-proof hotel keys, including 21 suites. Associated surface parking contains 215 stalls. Located on airport grounds, the 4.7-acre site is convenient to terminal buildings and parking garages and enjoys direct access to SFO’s AirTrain via a fourth-floor light rail station. The four-star hotel’s amenities include more than 14,000 square feet of flexible meeting space with grand and junior ballrooms, a 70-seat gourmet three-meal restaurant, two bars, a grab-and-go market, Hyatt StayFit Gym, yoga room, and massage treatment room. The tower, which is integrated into a six-level podium with amenity deck, features a variety of amenities and open spaces, including an Equinox-curated fitness center, 60-foot indoor pool, studio space for fitness classes, media lounge and game room, business center, pet spa, and associated parking with car stackers. The development’s two structures share a community garden and publicly accessible mid-block paseo. The W Hollywood Hotel & Residences features 305 hospitality units and 143 residential units. 1600 Vine includes 375 residences. Hollywood & Vine combines the single L-shaped site of the W’s hotel and condominium towers with 1600 Vine’s 375-unit apartment block, creating a complex equal parts Chateau Marmont, L.A. Live, and Pershing Square.
