Building One Community The mission of Building One Community - The Center for Immigrant Opportunity (B1C) is to advance the successful integration of immigrants and their families.Our vision is one welcoming community in which all immigrants are thriving and contributing members. Since our inception 12 years ago, B1C has served 16,000+ immigrants who speak 46 dierent languages and originate from 117 countries with an array of research-based programs proven to accelerate their integration and success. B1C provides wraparound services that span across four strategic areas: Through Building One Community, immigrants acquire the tools they need to be self-sucient and successful, strengthening their families and the entire Stamford community in the process.Join. He joined the Getty Images in 2005 and has worked in some 70 countries on six continents. Moore was posted internationally for 17 years, living in Nicaragua, Mexico, India, South Africa, Egypt and Pakistan. His most long-term eort of the last decade and a half in the United States has been to put a human face on the issue of immigration, both within the U.S. and throughout Latin America. In 2018 PowerHouse Books published his book Undocumented: Immigration and the Militarization of the United States-Mexico Border. Moore has been honored in the profession throughout his career, including the 2005 Pulitzer Prize for Breaking News Photography for his AP Iraq war coverage as well as ve World Press Photo honors, including the 2019 Photo of the Year for the iconic image “Crying Girl on the Border.” He has also been awarded the Robert Capa Gold Medal for courage from the Overseas Press Club and the Robert F. Kennedy journalism award. Moore is a graduate of the University of Texas at Austin, where he studied Radio-Television-Film.
