The Cade has inspired and equipped thousands of children and adults for a more innovative future, fostering an inventive spirit within us all.Our volunteer program provides community members with a civic opportunity to promote and elevate awareness of our mission focused on inspiring and equipping future inventors, entrepreneurs, and visionaries.Since we opened in May 2018, we have had over 1,000 volun-teers contribute over 15,000 hours of service. The Cade Museum is powered by our sta and volunteer energy, and our success is not possible without the help of our talented volunteers. Volunteers support our education sta and lead guests in the hands-on, interactive activities of our lab spaces throughout the museum. Whether you are interested in STEAM, education, or simply enjoy working with the public, we have volunteer opportunities for you in our unique museum spaces: Creativity Lab Fab Lab Main Rotunda Idea AtelierPlus volunteers can assist with programs such as Little Sparks and Operation Full STEAM.Volunteers are the heart of everything we do.The Power of VolunteersHow to Become a Volunteer:The first step in becoming a Cade museum volunteer is completing our online application, found at cademuseum.org/new-volunteers. Our minimum age to volunteer is 14 years old.After your application is received, you’ll be invited to a volunteer orientation to learn more about the museum and our volunteer opportunities.For volunteers 18 and older, you will complete an online background check.Then, sign up for your first shift online!1234Volunteering at the Cade Museum for Creativity and Invention is a creative, rewarding, and fun experience. Our volunteers come from a variety of backgrounds, and we appreciate that each volunteer has a unique perspective and talents to share. Volunteers at the Cade Museum are able to gain experience in informal education and inspire others to discover what is pos-sible in STEAM. Volunteering is a great way to make a dierence in the community and educate others.Volunteers enjoy flexible scheduling and a friendly and fun volunteer environment. Volunteers also have the opportunity to earn rewardsin our volunteer recognition program, and we oer year-round volunteer appreciation.
