Portmarnock GolfClub has a long tradition of values thathave been passed down through thedecades by our early founders in 1894. This tradition incorporates respect forthe course and fellow golfers. we ask allgolfers to respect this by adhering to thefollowing:In the ClubhouseAn appropriate standard of dress isrequired at all times. Smart casual clothesand golf attire, including tailored shorts,clean soft spiked golf shoes, can be wornthroughout the clubhouse.Waterproof garments are only permitted inthe lobby and locker rooms. Headgearshould always be removed in theclubhouse.Attire that is not permitted on the courseor in the clubhouse includes sports jerseys,jeans, track suits or similar wear, beachshorts, uncollared or sleeveless tee-shirts. The use of mobile/cell phones at Portmarnock Golf Club isrestricted to members of the medical profession on call. Please ensure your mobile phone is switched off when on thelinks and in the Clubhouse. Pro Shop Check-InGuests and visitors must check-in for yourgame at the Pro Shop. Led by HeadProfessional, Francis Howley, and his team ofPGA Professionals, you will get information forthe days play and equipment hire can beorganised. The Pro Shop also offers the latest golfingequipment and technology and a wide range ofhigh quality golf apparel, including itemsfeaturing the iconic Portmarnock Golf Clublogo.Welcome & Bag DropWhen you reach the Clubhouse, you will bewelcomed by a member of our team whowill give a brief orientation, answer anyquestions you have, and take your bags inpreparation for your game. ON ARRIVAL AT THE CLUBOnce you have checked in, Men's and Ladies'Locker Room facilities can be accessedthrough the main entrance hallway of theClubhouse. You will have use of a small lockersuitable for holding a small bag/wallet/generalpocket items. We provide complimentarytowels and toiletries. A complimentary shoe-shine service is also available on request. Locker RoomAfter check in, you are welcome to warm upand get ready for your game at ourchampionship-standard practice facilities. Transport is available to and from the drivingrange where range balls and tees will beavailable with our compliments. Driving RangeYou are also welcome to make use of ourchipping and putting greens which arelocated behind the Clubhouse.Chipping & Putting GreenSingle €70 Forecaddie €90 On return from the range, your caddie willmeet you at the Clubhouse and help withfinal preparations in advance of play.Caddie fees are payable directly (cash only) tothe caddie at the end of the round at thefollowing rates:Gratuity is at your discretion based onperformance. Please take a black bag from the rackat the starting tee before commencing play.We also request that pitchmarks are repaired andbunkers are raked after play, with rakes left outsidebunkers at the front left or right.Care of the LinksPlease avoid slow play at all times. Play ready golf and ensure that you keep up with the group in frontthroughout. We use Tagmarshal GPS to track pace of play. Should you fall behind pace, our ranger will askyou to speed up or move ahead to catch up with acceptable pace of play.Slow PlayOn-CourseDuring the summer months, our halfway house will be in operation. Located after the 9th hole, weoffer a range of light refreshments, including hot pies, sausage rolls, sandwiches, wraps, muffins,along with a variety of soft drinks and alcoholic beverages.Join Us In The ClubhouseIn addition to locker room facilities, guests and visitors are welcome to enjoy the hospitality of ourClubhouse. You can enjoy traditional Irish food, including fish landed daily at Howth Pier - whichcan be seen from the links. Opening hours vary but full service is available year round duringdaylight hours. The Clubhouse also features a treasure trove of memorabilia, photos and paintings that tell ofPortmarnocks commitment to the great traditions of golf, the rich history of our Club since 1894,and our role in the history of golf in Ireland. PaymentFull payment of the total green fee must bemade at the time of reservation to secure yourbooking. Until full payment is received, yourbooking is not confirmed. Once full paymenthas been received, an official confirmationwill be sent by email.Refund PolicyGreen fee payments are non-refundable andnon-transferable. Failure to keep a reservationwill result in forfeiting the green fee.In extenuating circumstances, should yourgame need to be cancelled, please email us atinfo@portmarnockgolfclub.ie detailing thereason for the cancellation. This notice inwriting must be received at least 31 days inadvance of play. Consideration will then begiven to issuing a credit to the value of the feepaid.
