TThe Rally Around Mental Health initiative was founded by formerstudent-athletes Kelly Lennon (Swimming & Diving) and Trae Bell-Haynes (Men's Basketball). Their goal was to increase the focus onmental health in Athletics and secure resources to meet this need.Thanks in large part to their efforts, Catamount Sport Psychology& Counseling was formed. In partnership with Redstone Student Housing & theUnited Way of Northwest Vermont, RAMH continues togrow and evolve. We are focused on spreadingawareness about mental health issues, decreasing thestigma attached to mental health & help-seeking, andproviding mental health resources & support tostudent-athletes.Scan to Donate!

2024-25 Man of the YearBarrett is the first Vermont male student-athlete to be named Man of the Year. He is the secondmen’s soccer athlete to win the award in the past four years. This award recognizes the conference'ssenior male student-athlete who has best distinguished himself throughout his collegiate careerin the areas of academic achievement, athletic excellence, service and leadership.37The four-time all-conference selection led the Catamounts to new heights as they won the 2024NCAA National Championship. Barrett started 23 games and in the national championship he earnedthe assist on the game-winning goal in overtime to lift UVM to a 2-1 victory. For his efforts he wasnamed to the NCAA All-Championship Team.Barret graduated with a 3.4 GPA and a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration with a financeconcentration. He also earned a Master of Accounting (MAcc) with a 3.7 GPA.Off the field Barrett made an impact on the Burlington community, helping organize a yearly eventwith the Boys & Girls Club of Burlington for 70+ children to play soccer with the men’s soccerprogram. He also volunteered at the King Street Youth Center to play sports with underprivilegedyouth once a month over the past three years. Barrett was a four-year member of SAAC and amember of the executive board for two years.
