Our tool joints are manufactured andheat-treated to exceed API requirements.Threading is done in accordance with APISpecification 7-2. Hardbanding can beapplied to your specifications. Tool joints are inertia welded to the tubeswith computer-monitored precision.Concentricity is carefully monitored andcontrolled, and the parameters of eachweld are electronically recorded, andtraceable to each joint. After removal of weld flash, the weld areais austenitized, quenched, and temperedto achieve the required mechanicalproperties. Heat treat cycles for eachweld are compared to specificparameters and recorded for traceability. After all steps and machine marks arepolished from the OD and ID area,hardness testing, ultrasonic testing, andwet magnetic particle inspections areused to verify the integrity of each weldzone. By the time TSC Drill Pipe reachesyou, it has gone through multiple QA/QCprocesses.
