Tridan Engineering Limited established in 1968 is a compact and efficient organisation approved to AS9100 ISO 14001 and an approved supplier to major organisations throughout the UK Europe and USA The company has continuously invested in machine tools including the very latest 5 Axis horizontal and sliding head CNC machining centres These are operated by a skilled workforce of over 70 personnel to provide standards of quality and service which we believe can only be matched by a few companies in the field The latest addition to our current plant is a Mazak 5 Axis Machining Centre with a 6 pallet Palletech system giving us a total of six 5 Axis machining centres 44 0 1255 424937 INTRODUcTION Tridan s manufacturing capabilities are backed by an equally efficient modern inspection plant and procedures covering the range from small components to large work pieces up to 1 6 metres in size all of which can be produced in small or large batches or delivered from stock to your KanBan requirements The Tridan service includes prototype parts complete assemblies and all ancillary requirements such as heat treatment plating processes and painting Where required we are also able to provide a complete package of fully machined and treated castings in aluminium magnesium and other alloys thus ensuring full project supply management As part of the Langham Industries Group Tridan receives the backing and access to the expertise of other Langham Group companies Tridan s website and this brochure illustrates our capabilities and if required we would be pleased to provide further information and greater detail Michael Lynch TRIDAN CO UK To meet the demands of modern supply chain requirements Tridan has invested heavily in management and technical support software A Windows based fully integrated and networked production management system controls sales order processing and contract control through to materials management Our CAD CAM systems allow customers to transmit drawing files in all formats including CATIA Pro E and STEP These are readily translated into machine codes and sent to our DNC linked machine tools MLynch Sales Director 3

the essential engineering component TRIDAN CO UK 6 capabilities cnc milling 5 Axis machining Horizontal machining Vertical machining Our state of the art CNC machining centres enable us to manufacture a wide range of precision components from large castings to prismatic parts CNC milling capabilities range from those capable of machining components as large as 1660mm x 505mm x 675mm and others sensitive and fast enough to machine the most delicate components with 5 Axis capability up to 850mm diameter x 700mm Most machines are a twin pallet configuration as well as a 6 pallet Palletech system with up to 120 station tooling carousels Rotary 4th Axis is also available on both the larger and smaller machines offering total flexibility on both round and prismatic parts With our latest investment of a Mazak 5 Axis i500 and 6 pallet Palletech system we can maximise the output of the machine shop by running similar parts together with very little downtime of the machine spindle and lights out operations The system brings advanced pre engineered automation to today s machining environment The Mazak Smooth software coupled with the Palletech Manufacturing Cell PMC controller can monitor operations view and change schedules onthe fly and still have the versatility to keep production moving as well being able to interrupt a planned machining queue and produce that urgent requirement for the customer

the essential engineering component TRIDAN CO UK 8 cnc TURNING Our turning capacity is up to 450mm diameter x 1500mm long alongside bar feed machines with twin spindle capability and driven tooling This enables us to turn the most complex components within microns as well as mill turn SLIDING HEAD With one of the largest size sliding head spindles available we are capable of mill turn up to 40mm diameter with a 30 turret tool station and 3 metre bar feed This enables us to produce the most complex parts in one set up
We offer as part of the package the ability to machine our own specialist jigs and fixtures in house We have a tool room for the manufacture of all of our own jigs and fixtures along with cylindrical surface tool and cutter grinding for that special one off type tool 44 0 1255 424937 cONVENTIONAL ASSEMBLY Our machine shop is also complimented by our manual finishing and air conditioned assembly area with a downdraft bench part marking facilities and ultrasonic cleaning TRIDAN CO UK 9
the essential engineering component INSPECTION Our inspection department is backed up by CMMs within an air conditioned quality control department and shop floor inspection station In particular our state of the art Brown Sharpe Scirroco CNC coordinate measuring machine complemented by PCDMIS software a Renishaw motorised probe and a working area of 2000mm x 1000mm x 900mm provides a significant asset to our quality control department An extra seat of PCDMIS for offline programming and a Mitutoyo manual CMM contribute to the ongoing promotion of product quality within the company The PCDMIS software is able to accept customer 3D solid models directly transferred over our network link TRIDAN CO UK Approvals 10 Tridan are approved to AS9100 ISO 14001 and provide major organisations in aerospace defence automotive food medical marine and other industries throughout the UK Europe and USA with quality and reliable products utilising our extensive range of modern machinery

44 0 1255 424937 Production Engineering Our machining is supported by an experienced team of specialist engineers IT and support staff who together provide unparalleled levels of technical and IT service Vero Edgecam CAD CAM system Autodesk Inventor and Dassault CATIA V5 offers customers the opportunity to download drawing files in 2D or 3D solid formats directly to our off line programming department File formats such as DXF DWG IGES STEP are readily translated into machine code and sent to our wireless DNC linked machine tools Our CAD capability allows us to import native CAD formats such as Solid Edge SolidWorks CATIA and Creo into our programming systems Our production control department is managed by a dedicated team and management software for a fully integrated production control system All aspects of sales order processing contract control production control purchase control and materials management are handled by this networked application We can provide the complete one stop shop with our dedicated supply chain capable of carrying out all types of processes from heat treatments to impregnation anodising to zinc plating to supplying fully painted and assembled parts TRIDAN CO UK Production Control and Supply ChaiN 13
