GREETINGS FROM BALL STATE UNIVERSITY!Welcome back to a new school year. I am excited to share our Transfer CenterFall 2023 Newsletter with you. Throughout this newsletter, important updatesand resources will be shared to help you guide your students as they transitionto Ball State and ocially become Cardinals. Some of these resources includeways that your students can connect with our Transfer Center sta, visitcampus, and learn more about their credit transferability.In addition to this newsletter, our website is another great resource for youand your students to learn more about the transfer process. This includesinformation about our Articulated Pathways and instructions for how to sign upfor a specialized Flight Path. Our Transfer Flight Paths is a program thatconnects students directly with a Transfer Center Advisor who can help themprepare for the continuation of their academic journey at Ball State. You canlearn more about these resources here. In this newsletter, I will also introduce you to our Transfer Center team. Ourstaff is here to assist you and your students as they transition to Ball State. Each transfer is taking a uniquepath to completing their goals and I really enjoy being part of that journey with thestudents.”What excites you the most about the work the Transfer Center is doing?“I really appreciate the intentional eort that Ball State and the Transfer Center is takingto make sure transfer students have the personal attention they need to make thetransition to Ball State smooth and successful.”Why do you enjoy working with transfer students?“I was a transfer student myself and I know how time-consuming and confusing thetransfer process can be for someone never going through it before. I love being able toshare my own experiences with students and helping them navigate their own transferpath.”What excites you the most about the work the Transfer Center is doing?“I love the work the Ball State Transfer Center is doing! I believe that we truly areworking to help transfer students be successful in every avenue. We truly want todevelop relationships with you and help you be successful!”

TRANSFER CENTER PODCASTWe are excited to announce that we are launching a Transfer Center podcast this year! Our podcast will feature important information and resources available to prospective and current transfer students. We encourage you to check back for the ocial launch date. Why do you enjoy working with transfer students?“I love working with transfer students because students come from a variety of backgrounds and experiences, which can make their stories and perspectives incredibly fascinating and meaningful to work with...”What excites you the most about the work the Transfer Center is doing?“We are connecting with students in ways we never have before! I am excited to work with our team as we explore new projects and experiences for our transfer students. It has been so fun being able to brainstorm various resources like utilizing social media platforms, constructing advisory boards, focusing on new student programming, etc.”Why do you enjoy working with transfer students?“Being able to get to know each student and work with them to help advise their transfer to Ball State is always new and exciting, and it is so rewarding when everything clicks, and we get to see these students on campus for orientation.”What excites you the most about the work the Transfer Center is doing?“Something that really excites me about the Transfer Center is the focus on building relationships with everyone that we work with. We really want to make sure that we are able to meet students wherever they are in the transfer process.”Why do you enjoy working with transfer students?“I enjoy working with transfer students because they’re all so unique with dierent experiences and I love hearing their stories.”What excites you the most about the work the Transfer Center is doing?“The Transfer Center is working on new initiatives, which is very exciting to me. I like being in on the “ground oor” of launching new programs and seeing them succeed and grow.”
