About the authorMy name is Alyssia and I am 11 years old. I live in Wasaga Beach.I like to crochet and I love to read books, such as Whatever After and Rainbow Magic.I like going to Taekwondo and my teacher is funny his name is Master Ivan. I like going to Jazz classes to dance. I love spending time with animals. I especially love to be with my 2-month-old lionhead bunny named Pumpkin, my German Shepherd puppy named Rosey and my yellow budgie named Honey. I also like to be with my aunt Leslie’s three cats and their names are Manchi, Pelusa and Penelope. One of my special memories is when I was 7, I was in the York Region newspaper. My brother and I helped raise and release more than 100 monarch butteries to Mexico.We collected their eggs and when they hatched, we fed them milkweed and watched them get HUGE. We observed them make a “J” shape and chrysalis. When they came out of the Chrysalis, we brought them to Millpond Park and released them. It was hard at rst to see them y away but then I got used to it. I like the time when I cooked spaghetti for my family and it was good!My favourite food is my mom’s chicken curry and my grandma’s chicken/turkey with orange sauce for Thanksgiving and her Christmas Turkey too.I like writing books because it’s fun and I like creating the characters and imagining what will happen and what they will do in the story.
