Compliance Corner Compliance Corner Meal Break Policy and Procedures Updates The tips below are intended to aid managers and staff in complying with Optima s updated Meal Break Policy and Procedures MANAGERS Continuously monitor staff meal break violations to confirm the reason for the violation Address meal break violations with staff to ensure accuracy of reports and address circumstances resulting in violations Provide updated violation reason s to mbp optimataxrelief com as needed no later than the Monday after receipt of the bi weekly Meal Break Violation follow up report from Legal EMPLOYEES Utilize daily meal break violation notifications to take timely meal breaks no later than the start of the 5th hour of their work shift Employees who work approved overtime should take a second meal break no later than the start of the 10th hour of their work shift Monitor and approve timecards including meal break violations for accuracy Submit requests for corrections by no later than close of payroll To waive a meal break request a Meal Break Waiver from your manager Waivers are assigned in Paycom and only apply where the employee works between 5 and 6 hours or between 10 and 12 hours For any questions regarding Optima s meal break policy and procedures please contact mbp optimataxrelief com or HR via Paycom s Ask Here Click Here For PDF Version
