o t g n i t t e G know you Aracely Pelayo Hello Optimians My name is Aracely Pelayo I work as a Career Development Specialist here at Optima I was born and raised in Orange County CA I m a fur mom to a handsome boy dog PawPaws One of my most significant accomplishments was becoming a single independent homeowner at 24 I started my career working as a Recruiter for an employment agency Six months later I was promoted to Account Manager and eventually transitioned into sales This opportunity allowed me to see employment from both sides of the spectrum the hiring managers and the job seekers In addition it gave me an inside look at how to coach and prepare individuals for opportunities and increase their chances of getting a job or I then moved to education where I worked with students and seasoned individuals looking career advancement to start or pursue a career change and helped them develop their career paths My favorite professional experience was at a non profit that helped homeless families to get back on their feet I worked as a career coach and helped family units prepare to enter the workforce successfully When I m not working I enjoy spending time with friends family and PawPaws I keep an active outdoor lifestyle and go on hikes and camping trips often I also enjoy music traveling and learning about different cultures and the architecture in other countries I believe in selfdevelopment and actively try to contribute to my growth Journaling has been a great way to support that it s helped me be more self aware and work on my emotional intelligence

Leadership Fun Facts Jeanette Chenevert Best Concert Favorite Movie I have several favorite movies If I have to narrow it down it would have to be between Amadeus and Mystery Alaska If I need a good laugh Mystery Alaska wins One of the best concerts I ever attended would be back in my big hair days We went to Red Rocks and saw Kiss without make up Slaughter and Winger If you have never been to a concert at Red Rocks this is a must see for your bucket list Are you a morning person or a night owl Do you have any pets I am definitely a morning person In the summer time it gives you a brief moment to be outside before your eyelashes are burnt off by the hot temps I am way more productive in the mornings too I have 5 very spoiled dogs We have a Doxie Gretel a Terrier mix Skittles a Morkie Morsel a Pug Corkscrew and a Cane Corse Mastiff named Davinci Everyone knows the Pug is my spirit animal with her pint sizes attitude What is your idea of a perfect day My idea of a perfect day is temps in the 70 s being at the river photographing the wild horses There is just a sense of calm with the sounds of the river and watching the horses live their wild lives
