Once upon a time,in a small villagesurrounded byrolling hills, lived acurious little boynamed Leo. Leoloved to playoutside andexplore, but heoften forgot tohelp around thehouse or take careof his things.
One day, while wandering in the forest, Leo foundan old man sitting by a tree. The man had a longbeard and twinkling eyes. In his hand, he held asmall pouch filled with shiny, golden seeds.
“Hello, young one,” saidthe old man. “Why do youlook so curious?”“I’ve never seen seeds likethose before!” Leoreplied. “What are they?”“These are magic seeds,”said the old man. “If youplant them with care andwater them every day,something amazing willgrow. But if you forget ordon’t look after them,they’ll disappear forever.”
Leo’s eyes sparkled. “Can I have some?”The old man smiled and handed Leo three seeds.“Remember, they need your attention every day.”Leo ran home and planted the seeds in his garden.At first, he was excited and watered them carefully.But after a few days, he got distracted by his toysand forgot.
When Leo finally remembered to check theseeds, two had vanished into the soil, leavingno trace. Feeling sad, he decided to take extracare of the last seed. Every morning, hewatered it. Every evening, he checked forweeds.
One bright morning, a tiny green sprout peekedout of the soil. Leo was thrilled! He continued tocare for it, and the sprout grew taller andstronger. Soon, it bloomed into a magnificenttree with golden leaves that shimmered in thesunlight.
The tree boregolden apples,each one filledwith sweet juiceand a specialmessage inside.The first apple Leopicked said,“When you carefor something, itgrowsbeautifully.”
From that day on, Leo never forgot to take careof his things, whether it was his toys, chores, orthe people around him. And every time he ate agolden apple, he remembered the lesson of themagic seeds.
The villagersadmired Leo’sgolden tree, butwhat they lovedeven more wasthe kind,responsible boyhe had become.
