Thu, Dec.14th, 2023, 3pm-5pm at Miramar Town Center The holiday season is here, and the American Red Cross wants everyone to stay safe from home res as they decorate their homes for the upcoming festivities. Decorations like trees, lights and candles increase the risk of home res during the holidays—with Christmas, New Year’s Eve and New Year’s Day being the top three days for home candle res, according to the National Fire Protection Association. See these safety tips while hanging lights and ornaments: • Check all holiday light cords to make sure they aren’t frayed or broken. Don’t string too many strands of lights together—no more than three per extension cord. • If getting a live tree, make sure it’s fresh and water it to keep it fresh. Bend the needles up and down to make sure no needles fall off. • If using older decorations, check their labels. Some older tinsel is lead-based. If using angel hair, wear gloves to avoid irritation. Avoid breathing in articial snow. • Don’t forget to turn off all holiday lights when going to bed or leaving the house In today's digital age, we enjoy unprecedented connectivity and convenience. However, this convenience also makes us vulnerable to various online threats, with phishing attacks being a prevalent and ever-evolving menace. Phishing attacks are fraudulent attempts to trick individuals into revealing sensitive information, such as passwords, credit card details, and personal data, by posing as trustworthy entities. What is Phishing? - Phishing is a deceptive cybercrime where malicious actors masquerade as legitimate organizations, like banks, government agencies, or well-known companies, in an attempt to steal sensitive information or money from unsuspecting victims. These attacks usually arrive through email, but they can also take the form of text messages, phone calls, or even social media messages. How to protect yourself from Phishing? - Verify the sender, use Two-factor authentication (2FA), be wary of suspicious emails that include links and attachments, keep your devices regularly upgraded with anti-virus, don’t share personal information, and educate yourself about latest phishing techniques and scams. Phishing attacks are becoming increasingly sophisticated. By following these steps and adopting a cautious mindset, you can protect yourself from falling victim to these deceptive cybercrimes. Remember that the best defense against phishing is knowledge, skepticism, and a proactive approach to your online security. Stay one step ahead of cybercriminals and enjoy a safer online experience.

A Message from the CEO Accurate inventory management is crucial for Kerma’s businesses. Here are some benefits of maintaining accurate inventory: 1. Minimizes stockouts: Accurate inventory counts help us avoid stockouts, which can lead to lost sales and dissatisfied customers. This may ultimately cost Kerma customers. 2. Identifies errors: Regularly reconciling your inventory can help you identify errors such as discrepancies between your physical and recorded inventory. 3. Reduces direct costs: If we have inaccurate inventory, our systems end up sending pickers to the wrong location, which leads to wasted time and increased labor cost. 4. Reduces overhead costs: Accurate inventory management can help us reduce overhead costs by mini-mizing carrying cost and the amount of excess inventory Kerma has, as well as reduce transportation costs. 5. An organized warehouse: Accurate inventory helps keep the warehouse organized which allows for smooth day-to-day operations and promotes less stress in multiple areas. What can we do to increase inventory accuracy? • Ensure we are pulling the right product as noted on pick tickets. This includes pulling from the correct loca-tion and in the correct quantities. • Ensure we are recording all movement of products we are making physically in P21. We should NEVER move or pick anything physically without performing the same action in P21. • Keep the warehouse clean and organized. This promotes availability of the right product at the right time for shipments or internal production needs. • If something does not seem right, say something. Let your supervisor know if you notice an error instead of ignoring it! Remember, all additional costs created by poor inventory management comes out of Kerma’s bottom line which affects us all in a negative manner.
