WelcomeWelcome to Xtrutech, as we grow and increase our employees we want to ensure we have inplace not only the formal policies and procedures but that we all feel a valued part of thecompany. We have developed this guide for all employees to show who we are and what we do.We also have in place formal policies and procedures but, being a part of our team is muchmore than that and through this guide we show you, who we really are and how we manage ourpeople and the business.Being at work should be a positive and fun experience and we work as a team to make thispossible. Individuals have different needs and it’s up to us all to support all of these. The formalpolicies and procedures are in place to assist with day to day but there are also other importantaspects we wanted to show you. CompanyHistoryFounded in 2002, Xtrutech specialise in the design &manufacture of XTS Twin-Screw Extruders. To create aseamless production or laboratory line, we also manufacturecooling systems, feeders, and ancillary equipment.We are experienced in creating extruders for a diverse rangeof industries including Powder Coatings, Thermoplastics,Biopolymers, Medical Plastics, Chemicals, Food andPharmaceuticals.Xtrutech are also a leading independent supplier of spareparts and services for Twin Screw Extrusion. We supply OEMspares for most other extruder manufacturers, such as APV /Baker Perkins, Leistritz, W&P / Coperion, Maris, Berstorff,Century, Thermo Prism, and Brabender.Our highly qualified team can provide a range of engineeringservices such as process optimisation, machine inspections, wearmeasurements and more…Xtrutech’s UK Headquarters are situated in Stoke-on-Trent. This iswhere our sales, design and engineering team are located. Wehave sales representatives positioned throughout Europe, Asia &Russia to provide further assistance to our global customers.Our secondary location is in Philadelphia, USA. The NorthAmerican Headquarters operate as Xtrutech Inc. The teamprovide dedicated customer service to our valued customers inNorth, South and Central America.

What toexpectYour first days and weeksYour first monthAfter six monthsThe aim of your first day is for you to understand what we do as a business, but also everyone’sspecific role. After your fully packed first day, you will be immersed within your team who willteach you the ropes and help you get settled in. You’ll also have the chance to meet with all thedepartmental managers to help you gain an insight into each department.After one month, you’ll meet with your manager for an informal review of your performance. Thisis your opportunity to share your experience so far, and discuss ideas and and any feedback youmay have. We value feedback, so we’re keen to hear your thoughts and ideas.You are now part of the furniture, but no less valued! We hope by this point you have had theopportunity to build great relationships with your colleagues and undertake a number of learningand development opportunities. From this point on, you and your Manager will have regular 1:1meetings for a mutual and candid discussion about your role, performance and wellbeing withinthe company. These will be formally documented, and you will have time to prepare for thesemeetings, with the opportunity to demonstrate how your performance aligns with our companyvalues and goals.Your formal probation period ends after six months - and a 1:1 appraisal will enable you and yourmanager to reflect on your time in the company so far. Passing your probation is an opportunityfor your team to give you a big ‘woohoo!’ and congratulate you. HR will arrange all the formalities and ensure all your employee benefits are activated.One year

Pay and Annual LeavePay DayPay SlipsAnnual LeaveOur normal pay day is the last working day of the month. Where this dayfalls on a weekend or public holiday, then payment will be processed onthe preceding Friday.Before your first pay, you will be sent an email to your mailbox from Sageasking you to login. Please do this so that when your payslips are sent outyou can access them. You’ll receive a notification by email from no-reply@sageonline.co.uk, please create your account as soon as youcan. After this, each month an email will let you know your payslip is nowavailable to view on Sage. Your payslip will show how your pay has beencalculated and details of any deductions that have been made. Pleaseraise any queries regarding pay with Sarah. All employees are entitled to 25 days leave per annum plus English PublicHolidays. Leave entitlements are calculated on a pro rata basis for parttime employees. Depending on how it falls a number of days will automatically be deductedfrom your annual leave allowance each year to cover the office shut downover Christmas and new year.
