I have been working with Lorraine on the timesheet set up and wenoticed a small error which may be giving members the impression that the course is alot busier than it actually is with visitor bookings. Although we are in a strong positionwith bookings, the timesheets made it appear that the course was so full, that therewere hardly any times left to book. Gladly this is now resolved and we have thetimesheet settings updated. Wayne and his team continue the fantastic work on the course getting it ready for theseason ahead. Recently, Richard Windows, Head of Sustainable Agronomy:Championship Venues, The R&A visited the course to check progress and make anynecessary recommendations. He was extremely impressed with the condition of thecourse and I will post the report that was returned to the club in the members sectionof the website for all to view, to see just how impressive the feedback was. Great progress is being made by the House Convenor in relation to the odour issues andis advancing plans to deal with the number of leaks in the clubhouse which really cameto light in March. A detailed project plan to deal with various issues in the clubhousehas been drafted and the start of a robust preventative maintenance program is welland truly under way which is brilliant to see. The Course Development Sub Committee continue to work tirelessly in the backgroundgathering feedback from members and ensuring that all members will have thenecessary information needed to understand the proposed plans from Mackenzie &Ebert . There are a number of member engagements planned in the near future. I wouldrecommend all members engage wherever possible to fully understand the proposalsthat are being made by the world renowned course architects. Thank you and see you in the Club soon.Kind Regards, Ryan DonagherGeneral Manager

McBreen Environmental carryingout CCTV and Smoke testing ofdrains ODOURS FROM DRAINSContinued progress is being made to resolve the odour issues experienced in the clubhouse Smoke testing the entire system to check for leaks was carried out recently and this has shownpositive signs in that there are no internal leaks from any sources in the clubhouse. Clubhouse Updates This shows that the recent works done to seal drains and addingtraps to sinks in the bar has made great improvements. The next steps will be dditional surveying of older drains under themembers bar for which there is no information on record. This willestablish if there are open unvented drains from former connectionswhich are no longer in use under the member’s bar. If there are, these will be capped and sealed. The results of the additional investigations are being coordinatedwith our consultant engineer to identify any additional remedialworks that may be required. We will keep the members appraised ofour findings and proposed works. The rendered finish on the east facing gable of the original two story building has failed. Raindriven by easterly winds is penetrating the render and travelling down the masonry wall and intothe bar. We have received quotations to insulate and seal this gable and this work is planned tobe completed over the coming month. Following completion of the east gable, the managementcommittee is developing a plan to address the remaining external wall areas as part of anenvironmental upgrade of the building envelope. The flat roof over the 1980’s locker room extension has failed in several places. Tenderdocuments are being prepared for replacement of this roof. The intent is to carry out this workover the summer months. This is a major infrastructural project and the members will beprovided with updates on a regular basis.Leaks in the ClubhouseFollowing the wettest March in history it has really highlighted the issues with the leaks that existaround the clubhouse. There are two sources of water ingress into the Clubhouse.1.2.Plans are being advanced with various engineers and contractors to ensure that we can find the bestsolutions possible to ensure that the issues experienced will be dealt with to ensure a long termsolution and fix is made.
