Tom Stancliffe and Robert MartineauTRIBE Freedom Foundation Co-FoundersWe are a community on a mission to fight modern slavery and endhuman trafficking. It has now been 12 years since the first Run for Love—an extraordinary journey from Odessa to Dubrovnik that inspired the founding of TRIBE Freedom Foundation. Over the years, our impact has grown; we’re proud to have raised over £2.1 million to fight modern slavery, and to have partnered with incredible frontline charities along the way. The highlight of 2024 was the epic Run for Love Namibia, where 50 runners took on the stunning yet ruthless Namib Desert, covering 210 km in just five days. The spirit of that first adventure continues to drive us, and the Run for Love series still embodies everything that makes TRIBE special:• Pushing Boundaries – in wild and remote locations.• Community & Adventure – life on the trails together.• Fighting Modern Slavery – raising funds for those who don’t have the same freedoms. From ultramarathons in Namibia to the Hackney Half Marathon in London, and from our London run club to an upcoming 1,000-mile challenge, the TRIBE community continually pushes the limits of human endurance to create change. We have an incredible pipeline of events over the next 12 months, including an incredible Run for Love challenge in Ibiza and a TRIBE team taking on the London Marathon. We’d love for you to adventure with us. Together, we can end modern slavery.3 TRIBE FREEDOM FOUNDATION IMPACT: 2024-2025

OBJECTIVE 1:LONG-TERM SUPPORTPARTNER SPOTLIGHT:WORKING WITH HELENBAMBER FOUNDATIONWith the support from the TRIBE community, the Helen BamberFoundation introduced the UK’s pioneering Trauma Centre in 2024,marking a major advancement in essential support for individualsaffected by modern slavery and trafficking. This state-of-the-art facility provides the Helen Bamber Foundation with a warm, welcoming space in which to deliver life-changing care to survivorsof trafficking and torture. The Trauma Centre will allow HBF toincrease their client intake by 50%, helping more survivors thanever before. The Centre will also act as a hub for the Helen BamberFoundation to provide training and sector-wide capacity buildingto other organisations.TRIBE’s support has helped the Helen Bamber Foundation to expandthe Community and Integration programme, providing servicesto 662 survivors in 2024. The programme has helped survivors tobuild confidence and become able to play an active role in theircommunities. One result of this has been the reduction in PTSDsymptoms for 77% of our clients. 9 TRIBE FREEDOM FOUNDATION IMPACT: 2024-2025
“YOU CHANGED MY LIFE.NOBODY ELSE DID FOR ME WHATYOU DID. FOR AS LONG AS I LIVE,I WILL BE SUPPORTING HBF ANDGRATEFUL FOR EVERYTHING YOUDID FOR ME.” –Hong, a 27-year-old survivor from Vietnam who attends the community group.Amid an unprecedented demand for services, the Trauma Centrestands as a shared commitment to the well-being of both existing andfuture clients, creating a lasting impact on the lives of those who haveendured trafficking and severe exploitation. In addition to providing financial support to assist the opening ofthe new Trauma Centre in 2024, TRIBE works with Helen BamberFoundation to deliver a series of movement sessions to empowersurvivors, helping them to regain confidence and independence.“I FEEL WORTHY NOW WHEN I AMAROUND OTHER PEOPLE. I DON’TCONSTANTLY WORRY WHATOTHERS MAY THINK OF ME… I FEELLIKE A HUMAN BEING. I FEEL LIKEI’M CATCHING UP ON LIFE.” –Ismat, a Helen Bamber Foundation client10
We’ve worked with Ella’s for sevenyears now, and it’s been fantastic tosee their growth — from supporting 28survivors in 2018 to 125 in 2024. Withthe backing of the TRIBE community, including dedicated volunteers andmulti-year funding, we have helpedamplify Ella’s impact and extendaccess to their exceptional care. Ella’sopened two brand new 2-bedsafehouses last year, one wepurchased with support from TRIBE.The TRIBE team helped to decoratethese safehouses, getting them readyfor survivors who have described thehomes as life-changing spaces inwhich to recover. In 2024, TTI (Trauma Treatment International) classed Ella’s as an example of best practise in trauma-informed care, saying: “TTI (Trauma Treatment International) finds that Ella’s is an emotionally caring organisation that not only feels physically and psychologically safe for service users, staff and the senior leadership team, but also provides an authentic sense of ‘belonging’ and ‘family’. Given the nature of the organisation’s work, and the journeys that individuals have been on (including extremely traumatic interpersonal relationships), this is a remarkable achievement.”“WE ARE TRULY GRATEFULFOR OUR ONGOINGPARTNERSHIP WITH TRIBE.TRIBE’S COMMITMENT TOBUILDING A POSITIVE,EMPOWERING COMMUNITYIS SO INSPIRING, AND IT’S APRIVILEGE TO COLLABORATEAS IT’S WHAT WE AIM TODELIVER AT ELLA’S TOO.” -Emily Chalke, Ella’s Founder and Co-DirectorPARTNER SPOTLIGHT: WORKING WITH ELLA’S11 TRIBE FREEDOM FOUNDATION IMPACT: 2024-2025
JELIAH’S STORY “THEY TOOK EVERYTHING FROMUS, SAYING WE OWED THEMBECAUSE THEY’D BROUGHT US TOTHIS COUNTRY. THIS TIME THATFOLLOWED WAS SO DIFFICULT,A REALLY TERRIBLE EXPERIENCE.THEY EVEN TOOK OUR VOICES AWAY FROM US,”“ORGANISATIONS LIKE ELLA’S ARESO IMPORTANT FOR WOMEN LIKEUS, WHO HAVE BEEN THROUGHDESPERATELY DIFFICULTEXPERIENCES.”Jeliahis one of the many survivorssupported by Ella’s. Ella’s safehousesenabled Jeliah to build a safe and stable lifeafter being ostracisedby her family for her sexuality, traffickedand sexually exploited. This is her story. When Jeliah became a teenager, Jeliah was treated increasingly harshly by her family due to her sexuality. ‘Because they were not happy with me, my life was not happy,’ she says.To try and stop their daughter from being a lesbian, her parents took Jeliah out of school at the age of 13 and married her to a 50-year-old man. ‘He was horrible to me,’ says Jeliah. ‘I was beaten so badly even though I was still so young, and treated as less than human.’ She was in the marriage for seven years before she could take no more, and ran away.Jeliah fled to another part of the country where she tried to start afresh. She entered into a relationship and was happy, yet the two women suffered extreme discrimination and persecution due to their sexuality. They moved around for a number of years trying to find peace, but in the end the discrimination turned to serious violence, the women were separated and Jeliah again fled for her life. She met someone who said they could get her to another country to work as a housekeeper, and Jeliah, heartbroken and scared, accepted. It was then that she was trafficked to the UK, where she was held in a house with a number of other women and sexually exploited.*The name and supporting photo used in thisstory are fictional. Some details have beenconcealed to protect the survivors identity. says Jeliah. After some time, Jeliah and one of the other women managed to escape – they ran for their lives, sleeping in a forest for a week, and eventually found their way to the police. When she moved into a safe house with Ella’s in 2021, Jeliah had been through years of pain and abuse, and she felt alone and hopeless. Her support worker at Ella’s helped Jeliah form a recovery plan, including getting medical help – mental and physical – building employability skills, friendships and community connections, and rediscovering hope. With care, community and empowerment, Jeliah started to flourish, and was able to move out of the safe house 10 months later. The Ella’s team will continue to support her as she builds a stable, safe life. ‘Ella’s has been supporting me in so many ways – all ways,’ says Jeliah. “THEY’VE HELPED ME TO OPEN UP MY EYES AND MY MIND TO SEE.”12

One survivor supported by Ella’s is Halimot; an inspiring mother, baker, and entrepreneur. As a survivor of child trafficking and exploitation, she has overcome immense challenges—and now, she’s the proudcreator of TRIBE’s newest bar flavor. After a day at mission kitchen, testing different flavours with teamTRIBE, the Banoffee Choc Chip came out on top! Not only is this bardelicious, but for every one sold, 25% of these profits go to Ella’s. Ella’s supported Halimot through a bakery course at Luminary Bakery,a London-based organisation that empowers women at risk throughtraining and employment. This is where she discovered her passionfor baking. After graduating, she launched her own cake business,Haliberry Cakes. Halimot’s story is hugely inspirational, and we’re soexcited to see where her talents will take her from here.HALIMOT’S BANOFFEE BAROBJECTIVE 2:INCREASING AWARENESS21 TRIBE FREEDOM FOUNDATION IMPACT: 2024-2025
