Training Development UPCOMING EVENTS PROGRAMS PD Workshop Series for Q2 Q3 Series Conflict Management September 20th 2pm September 22nd 9am Conflict Management Skills Practice Optima s Leadership Accelerator OLA Phase 1 Reinforce key concepts covered in development workshops and apply skills and tools to specific scenarios In this month the cohort of TLs will be beginning Level 3 of Phase 1 of the program The TLs will focus on identifying their Leadership Styles They will also create Leadership Portfolios They will have the oppurtunity to interview with the senior leaders to conclude Phase 1 of the program Anyone interested in learning about career advancement and growth opportunities at Optima email careerdevelopment optimataxrelief com

Caitlyn Ogden o t g n i t t Ge w you kno Hello Optimians I am Caitlyn Cat Ogden I am a born and raised Arizonian and a proud cat momma to Monster I have been with Optima since April I am in the Tax Prep Department I LOVE Taxes I got my CTEC certification in June I just completed my Annual Federal Tax Refresher course for the 2022 Tax Season I am now studying for my Enrolled Agent test and my goal is to complete that within a year I also have an Associates in Chemistry but I HATE Chemistry I went to Northern Arizona University in hopes of being in their Nursing program I was 5th on the waitlist to start the program but I went home over winter break and decided that I wanted to be a doctor instead so I enrolled in a Bio Medical Program at Carrington College where I worked as a Medical Lab Technician I went through my externship running drug screens on urine for court cases for three months and decided that was NOT what I wanted to do with my life My friend that I went to college with told me she worked for Jackson Hewitt and that I should join her I took their Tax Preparer class and then worked a season I came back the next season as a manager and then the following season I was an instructor I loved working for Jackson Hewitt but I wanted to do taxes year round which is what led me to Optima I am so happy to be here with this wonderful community and doing what I love I can t wait to get to meet you all

Leadership Fun Facts Michelle Botta Who inspires you Anyone who has overcome adversity inspires me My dad had a physical ailment as a teen that made it so much more challenging to do rigorous physical activities he enjoyed However he paved a life long path of proving naysayers wrong He not only persevered but he did it as an impressive level I remember that when life gets challenging What s the best concert you ve ever been to Probably the best concert I have ever been to was Kid Rock I think it was the Stagecoach Festival s 2nd or 3rd event ever His entrance in his convertible Caddy and opening performance were incredible it would be hard to beat the energy he generated from the crowd So good What s your hidden talent I have been told I can back a trailer like no other It started when I was 11 years old sitting in the driver s seat on a telephone book in my parent s 79 Chevy Van The boat was behind me it was 110 degrees out and there was no Do you have any pets A C You could say I was motivated to learn real quick Sophie is our Teacup Yorkie Her age and her weight are the same 3 9 points of fury She pretty much loves everyone and is quite the crowd pleaser What is the best advice you ve ever been given You cannot control what people think say or do So work on the things you can control yourself As a sales minded individual this was hard to process However I ultimately understood the message and I m happier because of it
