I created Financial Services of America in 1984 to teach families about the importance of saving for retirement. Early in my career, I walked into my mom’s living room and found her sitting on the couch crying. My grandfather, her father, had just passed away and she was completely overwhelmed – not just with grief, but also with the sheer number of decisions that needed to be made now that he was gone. My mom and my grandma thought they were prepared; they quickly found out they were not. This left them scared, confused, and scrambling to find answers. It was then that I realized I could make a dierence – not just for my own family, but for others as well. What my mom and grandma needed then is what people still need today: a team of experienced professionals to help with their retirement planning process. No single person can handle all the preparations that go into planning for retirement and beyond – it requires a team approach.Over the next 40 years, I established relationships and created a planning process that oers far more than what most financial professionals oer. Rather than just providing investment advice, we coordinate your investments, tax-eciency, legacy planning, and insurance needs into a comprehensive retirement plan.
