MAINLAND VERTICAL EXPANSIONATLANTICARE HEALTH SYSTEMPOMONA, NEW JERSEYVertical expansion of the AtlantiCare Regional Medical Center (ARMC) Mainland Campus, in Pomona, NJ includes a vertical expansion of the existing two-story Meadow Pavilion for two additional floors. Each floor will be approximately 17,000 sqft to accommodate 25 private, medical surgical patient rooms; for a total add of 50 private medical surgical rooms. An existing two car elevator bank will be upgraded and extended to go two additional stories. Renovation scope includes the existing 2nd floor of the Meadow Pavilion for a new 14 room Intensive Care Unit (ICU) and the existing 2nd floor Harbor Pavilion (old ICU) for a dedicated 12-bed Observation Unit.The Central Utility Plant will be expanded in capacity by an additional boiler and air-cooled chiller. THE CARLIN COLLABORATIVEEMERGENCY DEPARTMENT + RADIOLOGY EXPANSION PHASE 1CAPE REGIONAL MEDICAL CENTERCAPE MAY COURTHOUSE, NEW JERSEYIn an effort to improve access to best in class diagnostic imaging services to the Cape May County community. Utilizing existing underutilized space in the hospital, 11,000 SF of vacated operating room spaces was completely gutted and renovated to house a new Diagnostic Imaging Department. The design combined modalities to increase the size of the DI suite by +/- 50% and provide better patient privacy as well as better care and flow for patients, staff and visitors. The new space allows for new services, more procedure capacity, reduced waiting times and increased patient volumes. Modalities included: General X-Ray room, new Fluoroscopy X-Ray Room, new state of the art Interventional Radiology suite, additional Multi Purpose Procedure Room, New CT Scan, the IR rooms and CT are designated as Class 3 Imaging Rooms to support moderate sedation cases.TCC was hired to manage the project from design through documentation, regulatory approvals, construction, and facility occupancy. The age of the building and poorly maintained infrastructure created several challenges during the project including conflicts with existing structure and MEP systems. MEDICAL OFFICE BUILDING AND AMBULATORY SURGICAL CENTERATLANTICARE HEALTH SYSTEMEGG HARBOR TOWNSHIP, NEW JERSEYTCC was engaged by AtlantiCare to provide a full range of project management services for this 48,000 sqft new facility aimed to increase surgery capacity and services within AtlantiCare’s community-based medical park. Within the newly constructed building, TCC completed a 24,000 sqft fit-out consisting of 6 operating rooms, 12 pre-op bays, fifteen 15 PACU bays, and associated support spaces for a joint venture between AtlantiCare and Rothman Orthopaedics. TCC skillfully lead construction and site-work of the facility within an active medical park ensuring no disruptions to operations. Expert project management was required to manage an aggressive schedule, user requested design changes during construction, equipment installation coordination with construction, and complex state and local regulatory approvals. In addition, TCC solved long lead procurement challenges, permitting delays, and economical solutions to design changes. Without a proactive, detailed, and strategic operational readiness plan, the transition into your new space can become difficult, tainting your workforce’s experience with the new space. TCC helps manage early on change management planning as well as all aspects of your move and occupancy efforts from close-out to operational readiness. With clear and consistent communication, we ensure your staff’s transition is a smooth and positive experience. Occupancy and Move Management are where TCC separates ourselves from the competition. So often, a Project Management firm will get you through Certificate of Occupancy and you, the owner is left with a vacant building. At TCC, we will manage the project all the way through Go-Live. What does that mean for you? It means our team will build out an Activation or Occupancy Schedule that will include activities for the early occupiers. These are teams that are the first in the building and require an extra level of coordination to make sure we have inspections, equipment, and supplies. TCC also works directly with vendors to ensure delivery times and dock coordination. Loading in a building is no small task – you can’t have the patient room couches arrive after the beds, or computers deployed before desks or wall mounted arms. Equipment selection, procurement, and coordination are critical to a projects success. Early on design coordination with equipment and vendors minimizes the need for costly changes during construction. Our team members have experience with highly specialized equipment and an in-depth understanding of how they relate to the operations of the spaces being designed. TCC’s Vendor & Equipment Coordination services will help your team coordinate key decisions, procurement and installation milestones, as well as training and turnover.Equipment and vendor coordination is so crucial from start to finish. TCC has established relationships with many equipment vendors and first hand experience with specific equipment requirements and will work to ensure the design team understands the complexities of the new equipment or existing equipment that will be relocated during the move phase. Furniture timing and installation need to be carefully choreographed to eliminate the potential for any damage and properly coordinate infrastructure and user requirements. The last part is training. When it comes to new equipment, it’s important for there to be training to ensure a smooth transition into their new workflows. TCC understands the regulatory requirements for training and proper turn-over of newly installed equipment. This three-story, $38.3 million facility deepens AtlantiCare’s investment in health equity with new and expanded programs including Maternal Fetal Medicine, Family Planning, Safe Beginnings (including neonatal intensive care), FQHC Pediatrics, and Family Medicine Teaching.In addition, the Medical Arts Pavilion is home to AtlantiCare’s Medical Education Program, complete with classrooms, resident workspace, Simulation Center, and a 19,000 sqft auditorium.The Carlin Collaborative provided full Project Management services for the client including feasibility planning and budgeting, design management, construction management, management of commissioning activities, vendor and equipment coordination, and move management leading the project to success from planning through occupancy. ICU RENOVATION AND INFRASTRUCTURE UPGRADESJEFFERSON HEALTHWASHINGTON TOWNSHIP, NEW JERSEYJefferson Health’s Washington Township campus aims to bring world-class healthcare to the South Jersey community with a wide variety of services and a patient-first care model. TCC was engaged to manage various, overlapping renovation and expansion projects throughout Jefferson Health’s Washington Township Campus. Jefferson Health’s ICU Renovation included the creation of 12 new private Intermediate Care Beds, renovation of EVS, storeroom, morgue, and conference expansion. The TCC team led additional HVAC upgrades, installation of AHU, electrical work, and renovation of guest services space to create a new physical lounge, offices, and residential on-call suite. Full project management services were provided by TCC from planning through occupancy, including the coordination of ICRA and construction activities in an active healthcare building. Throughout the project TCC applied thorough communication strategies to ensure that design, construction, owners, and vendors were equipped and aware of project pieces. TCC facilitated problem solving through all phases and ensured that Jefferson Health standards were maintained throughout the facility. Our team is experienced in moving a variety of spaces including patient rooms, operating rooms, labs, pharmacies, office space, and even patients when needed. So often movers are hired to support the move, but having an experienced Owner’s Rep in this phase is invaluable and ensure that the operational considerations that most movers will not think of, are addressed prior to go-live.When moving complex spaces, considerations need to be made for validation, commissioning, and testing of equipment, transitioning, programing, and training for IT and support services.. TCC will coordinate directly with your internal teams, vendors, movers, and all support units to make sure there is a clear and efficient communication plan to ensure all stake holders always have real time data to ensure that all of your occupancy and move activities are successfully deployed without interruption to your operations.MOVE MANAGEMENT

THE CARLIN COLLABORATIVEMEDICAL ONCOLOGY SUITEJEFFERSON HEALTHCHERRY HILL, NEW JERSEYWith a mission dedicated to ensuring patients are the beneficiaries of outstanding care provided in a warm, compassionate, and stress-reducing environment, Jefferson Health sought to create a Medical Oncology Suite constructed in formerly unoccupied shell space of the Jefferson Health Medical Office Building in Cherry Hill, NJ. Program space included 18-infusion cubicles, 2-private infusion rooms, 11-clinical exam rooms, blood draw space, counseling/consult space, a workroom lab, and administrative offices as well as physician and staff support spaces for the infusion area and exam rooms. The Jefferson team elected to utilize the existing on-site hospital pharmacy located on the ground floor of an adjacent building to provide infusion compounding for the Medical Oncology Suite. Compounds are now stored temporarily and delivered daily to a in the new Infusion Suite space on the 5th floor. Infusion medications are stored in locking refrigerators in the supply room, which has card reader access restricting it to authorized personnel only.The project included the creation of 12,525 sqft of space dedicated to infusion services, clinical services, & other oncology services for Jefferson Health to achieve their mission.
