Black Homeschool Families Uniting (Tampa, FL)

This is a homeschool group that promotes B.L.A.C.K.N.E.S.S (Bringing Love & Assurance to our Children through Kindness, Nurturing, Education, Socialization, and Simplicity). We believe educational knowledge, wisdom, and sense of Self is power! We hope to promote a strong sense of pride in our children to help strengthen, grow and raise them to love who they will become.

This group provides a way for local Tampa Bay families homeschooling their teens/pre-teens (11+) to connect on Facebook. This is YOUR forum, please use it to post events, arrange meetups, and share resources and links suitable for a teen audience and/or specific to the needs and well-being of the homeschool community at large.

This group is a support group where we can be free to speak our heart and mind on the subject of dyslexia and our children. Please be considerate of one another. We are here to lift one another up and help to lighten a load of others just starting out. I know it's a fine line for some or our moms who are also therapist/tutors and we appreciate that you are here as mom first.

Families from neighboring cities are welcome to join, with the understanding that we as a group operate primarily in St. Pete (an amazing city, with loads to offer homeschooling families!).
