We see gardens and outside spaces as a resource that can support not only our staff but also the bees and bugs that sustain our lives. Our vision is for bee and insect hotels to be dotted around the gardens which will help pollinate the orchard and our vegetable and herb garden. The vegetables and herbs grown in the garden will be used in the kitchen, reducing the food miles to zero, or in our “Farm Shop”.We would also like to open the vegetable and herb garden to your employees who would like to do a bit of gardening. This will help serve the community and according to a report in The Mental Health Journal, gardening can assist with reduction of stress, improve mood and reduce the symptoms of depression and anxiety. The Farm Shop will offer customers fresh produce to take home, and we will look to develop this to include bread making kits, recipes and spices for curries that customers will be able to try out at home. Further options include a biscuit making kit ahead of the holidays to keep the little ones entertained. We like to create picnic areas for staff to enjoy the outdoors during the summer months and have pop-ups where staff can enjoy these outside spaces.Outside SpacesDREAMS & VISIONS
