Back in 1988, with Regan in the White House, Thatcher in Downing Street,and Simply Red playing in the background, two twenty-something-year-oldshad a dream to form the largest independent touring specialist in the world.In a one-bed flat in North London, Travel By Appointment was born. Withinthree months the team had smashed their three-year business plan andwere setting the standards for how travel and touring and entertainmenttravel should be done.Fast-forward a few decades; gone are the shoulder pads and sharing alandline, but what remains is the same passion and determination to deliverclients unrivalled experience. OURPEOPLETAG Academy was launched in 2015 with the mission to educateand offer professional training to young individuals aiming tobecome expert Travel Specialists. We aim to fast track thecareers of entry level candidates looking for their first stepstowards a long-term career in travel by providing tailor-madework-based training programme – designed to equip memberswith the advanced skills and knowledge required to thrive in anincreasingly complex travel logistics environment.Our Touring Specialists can go “On the Road” giving youdedicated, around-the-clock Specialists to help troubleshoot,expertly advance hotels, oversee luggage and equipment drop-offs, and amend any travel changes in real-time. An on-site agentcan prove to be invaluable, an elevated level of TAG’s white glove,high-touch service. We are happy to provide you with case-studies detailing their day-to-day responsibilities, and how theywill help make your Tour, even more seamless. TAG24 is our global award-winning in-house emergency team,dedicated to assisting travellers in emergency situations outsideof normal office hours.
