The HandcraftedGiftware offerings continue tobe very popular with locals andvisitors alike.Besides the hard work of our15-hour volunteers, we wouldlike to acknowledge the role ofour Artist on Duty volunteers.Walking into our gallery andbeing welcomed with a smileand the opportunity to see artbeing created in the moment,is fairly unique and makes ourgallery a warm and inspiringplace to visit.Donna (Education) has beenworking tirelessly to explorethe interest of artists, far andwide, in coming to TADAS in2026 and running sessions forour members and community.Keep an eye out for someexciting announcements!Our two weekly classes forAcrylics and Watercolourscontinue to be well attendedand our two social groups groweach week. TADAS & Brand Property As the major sponsor of our Creative Seasons Exhibition, Brand Property has continued theirrelationship with our society by including two of our artist’s works in their new promotionalmaterial.The society was approached by Brand with a proposition to help display our region and, at thesame time, establishing a link with local artists. Two well-respected and long-standingmembers of our society, whose artworks are a reflection of our beautiful area, will now have theirwork on display across our community. Rebecca Griffiths, a recent member ofToukley Art Society, has been working andtravelling around Australia for the last 15years, but primarily calls the Central Coasthome. She’s inspired by all things creative,constantly distracted by the coast’sabundant nature, ocean life, and allaspects of Australian coastal living.Beck is a self-taught artist, creatingprimarily with pyrography (wood burning)and acrylic paints. Linda Malone, Life Member of TADAS,passed away last week in hospitalsurrounded by her family.Linda joined TADAS in 2016 and soonjoined our committee continuing asArt Director until 2022 despite thechallenges of ill health. She was a visionary and dedicated ArtDirector for our Society, establishingour first competitions, presentingwonderful exhibitions and creatingour current logo. Linda was alwaysdiplomatic and very gentle in setting ahigh standard for our artwork.Linda's time as Art Director wasimpacted by the challenges of COVIDclosures and her longstandingmedical condition. She was supportedby her good friend and deputyChristine St Flour, delivering ourexhibitions with creativity and care.The painting shown here was sent outto members in our March 2020Newsletter, encouraging all to sharetheir artwork and celebrate ourcreativity despite lockdowns.Linda's family have invited membersto a celebration ceremony onWednesday 14th May at 2.30pm atLakes Church, 6 Pioneer Ave,TuggerahVALE: Linda Malone
