Design your own WintergartenTM A great advantage of the Wintergarten system is that you can design your conservatory at home with the help of the Wintergarten design sheets on the last 4 pages of this brochure You need to tick some boxes before you send us the design sheet so that we can give you a firm quotation and a 3d model of your new designed Wintergarten If you like you can send us a picture of your home and we will send you the picture with the Wintergarten attached to your house back On the next pages you find some exlanations for the different options that we offer in our Wintergarten range The numbers on the following pages refer to the numbers on the design sheets which you can find on the last two pages of this brochure If you are uncertain you will find a lot of information on our website www thermadura co nz or you are welcome to contact us 1 DESIGN The Wintergarten system is available in a gable roof and in a pitched roof construction Wintergarten design The Gable gable roof Wintergarten design Freyja pitched roof Both designs are available in the XL version with increased roof height The design sheets can be downloaded in the Wintergarten area If you need more inspiration also check out the extensive gallery on our website WINTERGARTEN XL For customers who like to increase the ceiling height of their conservatory ThermaDura offers the Wintergarten XL option When choosing this option the height of the Wintergarten increases by 720mm 60mm transom 660mm clearance within the modular system The window and door elements for the Wintergarten XL are exactly the same as the ones used for the standard Wintergarten Wintergarten design Freyja with bifold door and tilt turn door

2 SIZE The Wintergarten system is designed with modules of 1 meter centres The possible depth and widths of our Wintergarten design can be seen in the design sheets on the last page of this brochure Use a pen and draw the width and depth into the design sheet The starting point is marked on the design sheets with the word start Other sizes and element widths are possible in our ThermaDura architectural conservatory range 3 WALL HEIGHT The wall height is the height highest point roof connection of your Wintergarten The conservatory height is the dimension you need to write down in the design sheet The Wintergarten is a modular system which means the door window heights and are set sizes The greater the height of the conservatory wall height the steeper the roof angle Other details and cross sections for the Wintergarten system are available in the login area on our website Vertical cross section example design Freyja Wintergarten used as a restaurant

6 WINDOWS AND DOORS 7 Timber windows and doors 8 Even by European standards our ThermaDura tilt turn window and door range is top of the line and future proof We are ahead of European standards we have increased the thickness of our timber frames from 68mm to 78mm to increase the thermal efficiency of the windows and doors All our windows and doors are equipped with double seals and 3d adjustable hardware All joinery is supplied with a quality finish of your choice Timber Aluminium windows and doors Timber Aluminium windows and doors combine the best of two worlds The Aluminium shell provides weather protection The timber frame provides stability outstanding thermal insulation and gives the building a warm pleasant feeling The Aluminium frames feature ample rear ventilation and are mounted on the timber tension free with special fasteners this allows the timber to breathe and the Aluminium frame to expand and contract without any restraint during temperature fluctuations The corner joints of the Aluminium shell are manufactured with tension connectors to ensure a perfectly closed corner joint The hardware used for the ThermaDura timber Aluminium joinery is almost identical to the hardware we use for our timber joinery All ThermaDura window and doors are designed in a modular system Please check the design sheets on the two last pages of this brochure for window and door options and sizes

12 INSTALLATION Our conservatories are designed as a pre finished product that only needs to be assembled on site This allows us to transport the conservatories all around New Zealand We offer different options for the installation of the conservatory on site 13 1 Construction manager A ThermaDura construction manager organises the assembly of the conservatory on site In this case our construction manager works hand in hand with your builder on site to assemble the conservatory This is possible because all conservatory parts are pre fitted in our factory The flashing between the house and conservatory needs to be done by the builder on site The construction manager ensures an efficient work process and is the point of contact for any questions 2 ThermaDura installation Once the foundation has been prepared by your builder our team can install your conservatory ThermaDura or your builder can carry out the connection between the house and the conservatory There are different requirements depending if it is a new building or a renovation project We always recommend the most economical solution 3 Thermadura Project management In the Dunedin area ThermaDura offers to manage the project from the building consent to the sign off by the council Building consent documentation Assembly on site Finished Wintergarten ThermaDura supplies CAD drawings of your Wintergarten and standard flashing details for the installation of the conservatory An engineering report and product certification documents are supplied for the building consent application after the order is confirmed

WINTERGARTEN DESIGN SHEETS Our Wintergarten range is a modular system which has got a lot of advantages for you as a customer On the right page you can see a filled out sample design sheet for a gable conservatory In the design sheet you can add door and window modules simply by drawing them into the conservatory By adding door and window modules into the conservatory we automatically add and remove horizontal transoms and vertical mullions if applicable If you like to add horizontal transoms as a design feature simply draw a horizontal line with your pen on the dotted line example on right page If you do not draw a line this indicates for us that you want a full height glass panel Please check on our website for more Wintergarten design sheets The Wintergarten system is a modular system and we are working on adding new designs and options all the time The exterior dimensions in the design sheets can change slightly as we need to take the wind zone and the snow loading into account Outside view of sample conservatory on the next page Inside view of sample conservatory on the next page
