Michelle Rivard Zimmerman ‘97Lily ‘29 & Isla ‘30“We chose St. Vincent De Paul because of our deep familiarity with thehigh level of education, values and the community that the schoolprovides for our children. Our daughter, Madison, is a third-generationViking and her sisters will follow in her path to SVDP and benefit fromall of the same things that she loves about the school. The teachers, staff, fellow students and the other parents all contribute to a well-roundedcommunity that allows her to flourish academically, spiritually andsocially and we are very grateful for that.”“St. Vincent de Paul is a special place for our family. It has beenpart of our lives for four generations. We are forever grateful tobe a part of the SVDP community which links past and presentmembers through our church, school, alumni association, andsocial clubs. We continue to be impressed by the school'scommitment to academic excellence and the De Paul YouthClub's support of student athletics. Our daughters, Lily and Isla, are a daily reminder of the quality of the SVDP experience;seeing them develop as people, build their character, grow theirunderstanding of the world and come home each day with smileson their faces. We are proud to represent the blue and gold, andlook forward to having their little brother, Ford, continue thetradition. Let’s Go Vikings!”“We chose SVDP because we wanted to have a school close tohome in the Marina. We have the joy of walking to and fromschool along with some other families in the neighborhood. Weparents get to attend morning assembly each morning after drop offwith the whole school K-8. It’s become one of my favorite parts ofthe day. We have a mix of key legacy staff members, and familieswhose commitment and loyalty to the school and community shine. But we also have new families and teachers and staff members whohave joined this community, from all over the country and world, with fresh perspectives, cultural traditions and backgrounds. It’s themix of the past and present, native and new, which I think is thereal magic of St. Vincent de Paul and what I really love.”Deirdre Merrill ‘87 Merrill ‘29alumni@svdpsf.comVIKING VOICE SPRING 2024WHY SVDP?Scott Brittain ‘99 Madison ‘31
