COMMERCIAL DIRECTOR LETTER Dear friends,The year 2022 represented a great challenge in managing the global health emergency. The long-awaited economic and market recoveries were marked by new waves of infection. This led to major uncertainty all around the world.Supply chain challenges endured, which made ensuring that our clients’ operations went on as well as possible a great obstacle. Nevertheless, we took on the responsibility to serve our clients with leadership and determination. We were able to deliver creative solutions to our clients to ensure the continuity of their operations. Furthermore, we got to demonstrate our teams’ great capacity for resilience yet again, through efficient and entrepreneurial leadership. The establishment of our Corporate Group continues to solidify and the greatest achievement of 2022 was the launch of our new Strategic Business Unit (SBU), Alkento. This new SBU is geared towards the development of solutions for the cosmetic, pharmaceutical, and food industries. Alkento will help us focus our resources and efforts, allowing us to increase our business platform in relation to these industries worldwide. An important milestone for Alkento was the launch of the first Organic Candelilla wax in the world. This feat fills us with pride and shows yet again the quality of our products and processes throughout the value chain, offering specialty products, and meeting international standards for the best brands around the world. With the launch of Alkento, we consolidated our corporate structure and secured a platform of swift solutions focused on achieving our expansion goals. With this new SBU – together with Multiceras, Aztec Plumbing, Arca Chemicals, and Volkom – we lined up our efforts to ensure we meet them. Our sustainability strategy goes beyond the protection of the environment, and it is focused on developing sustainable solutions for the industries it engages with. Each of the companies serves specific markets, but they are united in their purpose, values, and how they operate and do business. In order to better understand the needs of our customers and focus more efficiently on the industries we serve, we created Strategic Business Units (SBU). Each of the SBUs handles specific markets, clients, and requirements, which allows us to facilitate a more comprehensive development and optimized attention. The two current SBUs are Volkom and Alkento.Alkento is the newest SBU, serving the personal care, pharmaceutical and food industries. To achieve this, we invited customers, suppliers, employees, shareholders, and the management team to answer the questionnaire. We continually integrate these principles into company policies and initiatives and analyze and monitor our progress. We promote a corporate culture attached to ethics, respect for human rights, and social responsibility. In addition, we encourage the development of our employees and their health and safety. We promote the sustainable use of Mexico's endemic natural resources and the socio-economic development of communities. Supply Chain GRI 102-9The second one is our Agribusiness supply chain, which collaborates with local producers to obtain raw materials from the field, through methods that are friendly to the environment, creating shared value in the communities of the region. One of the most emblematic products of Multiceras is Candelilla wax, which is extracted by independent producers from the Candelilla plant.National and International SuppliersTransportation to MulticerasManufacture of high-quality products, meeting customer specificationsSale to national and international customersThe Candelilla wax is obtained through a comprehensive Supplier Development program that provides opportunities for community development through the sustainable use of forest resources. This allows us to offer products that are distinguished from our competition by being processed in Mexico and supported by a unique social responsibility program.32At Multiceras, we have two well-defined supply chains. Allies in Social ResponsibilityIn previous years, our client Yokozeki made donations that allowed improving the quality of life of the candelilla communities' inhabitants through volunteer work and the installation of rigid roofs in the Candelilla wax extraction units. In 2022, the donation made by Yokozeki was used to buy food-baskets for 250 Candelilleros. As part of our L’Oreál solidarity-sourcing initiative, we signed the Candelilla Sustainable Sourcing Agreement, which aims to: The number of beneficiaries in the year 2022 was 305 Candelilleros. 34Provide Candelilleros and their families with access to social security benefits; and Improve work safety conditions for Candelilleros through financing the substitution of sulfuric acid with the much safer citric acid in the extraction of Candelilla wax. For decades, Candelilla wax has been extracted by the inhabitants of the communities of this region through a process of heating water and adding an extracting agent. All equipment and supplies required for this work are supplied free of charge to Candelilleros, who maintain a buy-sell relationship with Multiceras. The law requires that to harvest the Candelilla plant, it is necessary to submit a technical justification study to the Mexican Secretariat of Environment and Natural Resources (SEMARNAT), which then issues a harvesting permit. Candelilla wax is extracted from the Candelilla plant, which is native to the Chihuahuan Desert. The plant generates a wax coating to avoid dehydration due to the desert's harsh temperatures. In Mexico, Candelilla is found in the semi-arid areas in the states of Chihuahua, Zacatecas, Durango, Nuevo León, and Coahuila. Coahuila is where the largest number of Candelilleros are dedicated to harvesting Candelilla and the extraction of the plant’s wax. At Multiceras, we work in various ways to create shared value in all communities where we operate and have influence. In addition, we carry out activities with our employees seeking to increase sensitivity, communication, and closeness with the inhabitants of these communities. GRI 413-1Community Engagement GRI 413-135In 2022, no face-to-face volunteer activities were carried out; however, through the cooperation of some of our customers, food-baskets were delivered to a total of 250 Candelilleros from communities in Nuevo León and Coahuila. The plant naturally generates a wax coating that allows it to avoid dehydration from the harsh conditions of the desert.Candelillero Communities IndexCorporate ProfileSocial PerformanceEnvironmentMulticerasAztec PlumbingVolkomAppendix

In 2022 we invested MXP$ 1,244,430 (USD$ 62,004) for the purchase and repair of extraction equipment.Extraction agent In all the communities where we buy Candelilla wax, we provide the Candelilleros with the extraction agent they will need to carry out the extraction beforehand. This can be Citric Acid or Sulfuric Acid. In 2022, supply chains around the world were affected by various issues, which caused investment in extraction agents to increase by 360% to MXP$ 9,953,833 (USD$ 495,956).35Communities that have replaced the use of sulfuric acid with citric acid26%Of the total purchases of Candelilla wax, are extracted with citric acid59Candelilleros with access to Social Security$3.5 MDPFinancing to communities for forestry studies$11 MDPInvested in equipment and materials for wax extractionUse of Citric AcidIn 2016, our R&D team introduced citric acid as an extracting agent, reducing the risks associated with the use of sulfuric acid.
