Renovaon Details:Due to the relavely shallow depth of the exisng aluminum I-beam framing members, the replacement glass thickness was limited to 7/16" in order to reduce the addional dead load on the system.New Low-E laminated glass, pressure plates, trim caps, connuous silicone seals and flashing were installed. The history of Super Sky Products, Inc. actually began in 1923 when Walter Belau, its founder and sheet metal worker, started a business by the name of Super Steel Products that manufactured fireproof windows and hollow metal doors. In 1929, he expanded his operaon and added skylight division.
