Do you have dreams of starring in a movie? Imagine stepping onto a real movie set,surrounded by filmmakers, lights, cameras, aaand action! AFKT’s Make-A-Movie is notjust a learning experience; it's a chance for kids and teens to become the stars of theirvery own film. Led by seasoned professionals in the industry, this camp offers a hands-onopportunity to experience the thrill of being part of a real movie production. From script readings to rehearsing scenes and getting into character, students will beimmersed in the behind-the-scenes magic of filmmaking. How does it work? Actorsreceive the script ahead of the rehearsal day, where the director leads them through eachscene offering guidance and feedback before the first shoot day. Days 2 and 3 are spentfilming the scenes. The film is then edited by a top notch editor and screened with a redcarpet premiere at a local theater for family and friends to enjoy. During this workshop, actors will: Work on scenes from the show Receive guidance and feedback from their acting coach Dive deeper into the characters of the show Rehearse and record scenes Receive recorded scenes after the camp to share with family & friends

week of everything tv & filmKickstart your goal of being in tv & film acting with our Week of Everything TV & Filmcamp! Each day will cover a different facet of being an actor:Day 1 - Back to Basics. Students will explore the basics of acting to build their foundationand skill level.Day 2 - Scene Study. Students will dive deeper into character analysis, how to work withothers in a scene, how to move in a scene, body and prop work.Day 3 - Auditioning. Arguably one of the most important parts of being a successful actor isauditioning well. On this day, students will get comfortable in front of the camera, work ontheir slate, and learn how to move within the frame of the camera. Their homework is to doa self-tape at home and submit it.Day 4 - Self-Tape Review and Headshot Day. An AFKT Coach will review self-tapes with thestudents and we will also take basic headshots and go over basic resumes with students aswell as answer any questions students may have about the industry.The Week of Everything camp is designed to give you the tools and confidence you needto take on the acting world and answer your burning questions.
