As a native of the Tidewater area, Beth spent her childhood on the banks of the Elizabeth River from where the family took boat trips up the Chesapeake Bay, spent summers crabbing and shing on the pier, and visiting the Outer Banks of North Carolina. Since marrying in 1999, she has resided in Suolk, adding an interest in agricultural subjects, owers, animals, and children. She pursued the arts through her high school and college years including private painting lessons with local artist Wayne Fulcher. However, her love of art revived in her adult life in 2011 when she was introduced to painting with oils by a master of oils, Robert LeMasters. Alex Eisenzopf Clyde, North CarolinaA serial sketcher throughout school, Alex got his rst formal instruction at a local community college, eventually transferring to the Pratt Institute in New York City. The atmosphere was vibrant and competitive, but light on instruction. He learned much from the work of other students until the money ran out. Vassar was free but had a small art program. He wanted to concentrate on philosophy, justifying the move despite the art program. A saving grace was Vassar’s rst-rate art collection and Art History department. He spent the years since college working in commercial art, illustration and product design, the last two years in ne art, attending plein air events and building a body of work. His rst love is drawing, which undergirds all his work. “Drawing adds structure and dynamism. But what drives me is art with meaning- using my mind to recreate something from life or create something from nothing. The practical profession of teaching won out over a career in the visual arts, but a 2015 head injury on the job brought her back to her true passion: painting. In 2016, Calina began painting again, creating drawings and oil paintings, in her studio and en Plein Air. She loves to travel both internationally and around the United States. Tarryl GabelPoughkeepsie, New YorkTarryl was born and raised on a cattle ranch on the Fort Berthold Indian Reservation in North Dakota. She’s now lived thirty plus years in the Hudson Valley New York. Tarryl prefers to paint Plein Air whenever possible, but also paints still life, wildlife and western themed paintings when she cannot be outdoors. She is proud to have been voted by readers of Hudson Valley Magazine, as “Best Artist” in their annual “Best of the Hudson Valley” ve times to date. She has won awards regionally, as well as being a winner in numerous National Competitions, including Paint the Parks and Paint America Top 100. He had planned to go to law school, but after an eight-month illness culminating in the removal of a tumor from his lung at the age of 24, he decided to pursue his lifelong ambition of a career as an artist. Gavin began showing his work in galleries almost immediately and spent ve years studying with Danni Dawson and Robert Liberace. His paintings hang in the permanent collections of the United States Capitol, the Virginia State Capitol, the CIA, universities, museums and numerous other collections both public and private.Gavin is represented by Principle Gallery in Alexandria, VA and Charleston, SC, and Palm Avenue Fine Art in Sarasota, FL. Rajendra KcFalls Church, VirginiaRajendra was born in Lalitpur Kathmandu, Nepal. As a child, he studied basic painting courses at the Sirjana Contemporary Art Gallery in Kathmandu, Nepal. After, he self-studied developing his own unique watercolor techniques and style. His talent for painting became apparent when he was in seventh grade, and since then painting has become his lifelong passion. Rajendra grew up in the capital city of Nepal, Dhobi ghat, Kathmandu, where he lived for 35 years before coming to the United States. He worked during the week for the government in Nepal, and on the weekends, would travel to dierent parts of the country where he enjoyed painting from nature and capturing the local landscape. Rajendra moved to the United States with his family and now lives in Falls Church, Virginia where he keeps a studio. He is an active member of the Falls Church Art, Inc. (FCA where he conducts classes as a painting instructor. In season, he also paints every Saturday morning at the Farmer’s Market in Falls Church. Rajendra is primarily a watercolor plein air artist, but he also likes working in oil and acrylics. Rajendra was born in Lalitpur Kathmandu, Nepal. As a child, he studied basic painting courses at the Sirjana Contemporary Art Gallery in Kathmandu, Nepal. After, he self-studied developing his own unique watercolor techniques and style. His talent for painting became apparent when he was in seventh grade, and since then painting has become his lifelong passion. Rajendra grew up in the capital city of Nepal, Dhobi ghat, Kathmandu, where he lived for 35 years before coming to the United States. He worked during the week for the government in Nepal, and on the weekends, would travel to dierent parts of the country where he enjoyed painting from nature and capturing the local landscape. Rajendra moved to the United States with his family and now lives in Falls Church, Virginia where he keeps a studio. He is an active member of the Falls Church Art, Inc. (FCA where he conducts classes as a painting instructor. In season, he also paints every Saturday morning at the Farmer’s Market in Falls Church. Rajendra is primarily a watercolor plein air artist, but he also likes working in oil and acrylics. His paintings are in many private collections in Nepal, United States, Canada, India, China, and several European countries. She continued practicing art-making at Geneva College and graduated from the University of Pittsburg, majoring in both Studio Art and English Literature. After working in many dierent elds, Tami transitioned from painting murals and faux nishes in homes to painting “ne art.” After raising their children in the Pittsburg area, Tami and her husband relocated twice more and now live in Cazenovia, New York. Her paintings are inspired by her surroundings, whether at home or abroad. Laura received her Master’s degree in Art Education from SUNY New Paltz and continued to study painting with local artists in the Hudson Valley. After a fullling career as an art educator, Laura continues to mentor emerging artists by hosting workshops in New York, Massachusetts, Florida and abroad. Workshop experiences allow Laura to paint and teach others about the Plein Air experience. Her work spans a variety of medium including pastel, oils and encaustics. Award-winning artist Orit Reuben, is an impressionist landscape and gurative pastel painter. Orit likes sunny day painting and is inspired by light eects. She is based in Florida and is inspired by nature, and loves painting outdoors. Her favorite locations include a combination of architecture and nature. Her innate instinct for color results in playful and colorful interpretations of nature. Born in Israel to a family of artists, Orit is greatly inuenced by her grandfather, who was an impressionist painter. As a child, she painted at the side of her mother, who is also an artist. Orit immigrated to the United States as a teen with her family and settled in Minneapolis. There she attended the University of Minnesota and embarked on a full-time career as a licensed interior designer. Orit’s medium of choice is pastels. A resident of Orlando, Orit nds beautiful scenes throughout the region and regularly displays her work in galleries and shows. Elbert was born in Kansas but spent most of his life in Jacksonville, Florida. He has been drawing since he can remember. Mostly self-taught, he has been Plein Air painting for about 13 years. Elbert has won awards in Florida, Georgia, and North Carolina, including several “Best in Show” awards. He works in oils and loves to capture God’s creation in an expressive and painterly style. Rokhaya WaringClyde, North CarolinaRaised in Massachusetts with roots in France, Waring’s homeschool days included milking goats, playing violin, and camping across America in a 1954 GMC bus. Foremost in her education was daily drawing from nature. This practice, instilled by her mother- once a student at the Ecole des Beaux Arts- created vibrant memories and laid the foundation for her technique. There was the study of Art History (BA Princeton ’88), regular trips to Art museums, and twenty formative years in Provence painting hay rolls and poppy elds while using her old Renault 18 as an easel and shield against the mistral wind... Without a doubt, working en Plein Air is her rst love. Waring has shown in over 150 shows in the United States and abroad and has participated and garnered awards in numerous Plein Air Events. His commercial work includes projects for the Houston Rockets and Coastal Oil Corp. Karen ThuermerWilliamsburg, VirginiaKaren creates art through a host of mediums, but preference is oil painting because of its richness in color and its uidity. She’s been recognized as an accomplished landscape painter who is equally skilled at still life and gurative compositions. Her works are frequently accepted into juried shows, and she has won awards most notably at the Art League Gallery in Alexandria, VA and recently the 2022 Regional Juried Show at the Williamsburg Contemporary Art Center. Valentina YannottiGeneva, New YorkValentina was raised in the Finger Lakes area on the North end of Seneca Lake in New York State. Growing up there allowed her to enjoy a childhood of color. Valentina attended art classes at Finger Lakes Community College, studied with Pat Rini Rohrer at Studio II in Canandaigua and most recently attended Main Street Atelier in Tarrytown NY. It was after a Plein Air Class that Valentina realized the joy of painting with nature and the advantages of viewing the genuine colors in the shadows and light. Valentina retired early from her job to pursue painting full time and created her own paint and sip company to help with expenses and to keep her close to art.Valentina is a member of the Penn Yan Art Guild.
