Free library membership for everyone: This entitles students, familiesand teachers to avail of our facilities free of charge. We are very happy towelcome everyone, whether it’s for research, class visits or a plannedevent like an author visit or a workshop. Requests: It is now free to request a book from any public library inIreland. There are over 12 million items to choose from.Teacher card: This card entitles teachers to borrow up to 30 books at atime. The lending period is 3 months.Class visits: If you wish to bring a class to the library, please get in touchwith your local library. The class can then borrow books and get to knowthe library.Reading resources and supports: Offaly Libraries has an extensivecollection of material, both print and online, suitable for all reading stages.We have an array of non-fiction books to help with project work andstudy. Programming and events: Offaly Libraries provide ongoing libraryprogrammes throughout the year to encourage and support the curiousminds of our younger community members.Free Supports and Services for Schools and Families There are many ways in which Offaly Libraries can support your schoolcommunity.

Swanson has banked almost 200 days of spaceflightexperience, including an Atlantic shuttle mission to theInternational Space Station! MATHS WEEK: NOVEMBER 10TH- 17TH Offaly Libraries are bringing the magic of Micro-bits tosecondary schools across the county with a series ofcaptivating workshops held in branch. Theseinteractive workshops will be facilitated by Offaly Cocouncil Stem Officer Dean Hodge. Students will betaught how to design, create and program their veryown miniature computers.
